Inherent dismantled my 29gallon fish tank and phew I am tired and feel gross. However I am so happy it's finally done. I am sad we don't have it anymore, but we will really use the space.
I can't wait to make H do a double take when he comes inside.
Having a hard day, and it's all me. I think when I woke up at 4:30 after tops 3 hours of sleep because DD is having sleep issues to the monitor beeping because it lost the connection and then dropping the monitor so the back came off and not being able to put it back together in the dark and then getting in to bed and having to fight my husband for covers because the blanket had turned around sideways really got my Monday off to a poor start. DH got up with the baby and fed her this morning so I could sleep in, but I am still a big grump and it feels like nothing is going my way.
Question: Has anyone transitioned from a Soothie/WubbaNub to another type of pacifier? DS has only taken a Soothie pacifier, but they are only supposed to be used through 6 months/when a baby has teeth. DS has had two teeth for about a month now and I've still been letting him use his WubbaNubs. I have several other types of pacifiers, but he won't really suck on them. Since they're harder plastic, he thinks they're fun to bang against the back of the crib to make noise. Ugh. He'll maybe do a couple sucks and then just play with them. I did buy a Paci Plushie to attach to a pacifier and haven't tried that yet. I'm hoping he'll associate that with the animal on the WubbaNub and realize they're for the same purpose.
I see plenty of moms post pics of their kids over a year old still using WubbaNubs, and I'll admit I've silently judged them, but I get it now. I would like to stop using them sooner rather than later, though, because they can be a choking hazard.
DS used the soothie for about 4 months or so then we switched to the tommee tippee pacis. He loves those.
GeekBeagle my mil told me her friend was watching their grandson when he got the entire soothie in his mouth. He was 6 mo old so that warning is no joke. Unfortunately the wuba nub would make it easier to extract but they can still choke. I know it hard to take away their self soother but I would transition asap.
FX my stomach bug is done. I successfully kept food down overnight. Errands today. I've been weirdly blocked about scheduling DS's baptism so I finally said let's just do it next weekend. So I've got to find him something to wear
Thanks for asking. Last I heard she was supposed to be on bed rest, but decided to go traipsing all over the place Saturday for maternity pictures instead. Then on Sunday couldn't figure out why she was having so many contractions and tons of swelling. They ended up having to skip our little brother's 4th birthday party yesterday because of it, but she was sure to update her Facebook to remind everybody about her baby shower that she is hosting for herself next weekend. I'm not her biggest fan to begin with and this news just reaffirmed all my side eyes I've given her in the past. I'm still really excited for them and praying everything goes smoothly from here on out, even if I think she's not the brightest crayon in the box.

Is this with any pacifier it just the soothies?
I've heard it's soothies in particular that can be dangerous because they're soft and the whole thing bends.
Spending the night flipping between the election results and the Jays game.
I saw on Facebook that my best friend from elementary school passed away today. We weren't really good friends anymore but it's crazy to know she's gone. We had a lot of good times together as kids. She had a heart condition and had some complications recently. Very sad.

No idea what H was doing after I went to bed. He had a late phone meeting and I was so passed out I didn't even notice him come to bed. But several of the foam letters of the floor mat are pulled up and the puzzle pieces up. Probably was not a good meeting.
His birthday is today, it being after midnight here. I'm leaving his card out for him this morning so he sees it before work.

Smoothies specifically. The hard plastic ones are generally labeled for older ages.
