DD got a cold yesterday. Again. We were up so many times during the night because she couldn't breathe. She even slept a few hours in the stroller - because it inclines - just so she could breathe a little better. I am all kinds of tired today.
Good morning! If I can survive this week I'm off 4/5 days next week; the first two for a conference in Nashville and the second two for my baby's surgery. I think I can, I think I can!
So this week will be spent trying to get lesson plans together. I think I've got one of my orchestra friends lined up to sub, which will be nice because it won't just involve putting in a video; she can actually teach music while I'm gone!
So I feel like I shouldn't be saying this but I think DD is finally on the mend after 3 weeks of diarrhea. It wasn't perfect this weekend but it's the best it has been. I probably jinxed it but my gosh I am so ready to be over this. She has also be marathon eating so maybe she is trying to catch back up after losing weight. Hopeful party of one.

It's cold. There was frost on the ground outside my house this morning and ice patches in the parking lot at daycare. But I kind of love it!
We had a busy but kind of quiet weekend. Lots of time with family and friends. DS has been constipated and pooping out little hard pieces since Thursday. I've given him apple juice cut with water to loosen it up, along with oatmeal and applesauce. Buying prunes after work as well. Fingers crossed for a poopy baby!
Norah was up a ready to start the day at 5:45 (two hour time difference is rearing it's ugly head again). So we're up too. Going to watch some bubble guppies or something. Not sure what we're doing today. Either the phx zoo or the state fair I believe.
@alyllyra sorry LO is sick again. aggiebug yay! kaydee0402 I got up this morning & thought woah it's cold! But 50° doesn't seem that bad compared with icy parking lots...
FX my stomach bug is done. I successfully kept food down overnight. Errands today. I've been weirdly blocked about scheduling DS's baptism so I finally said let's just do it next weekend. So I've got to find him something to wear

@holachica I need baby jail. What did you get? I'd probably put it out during the day and away when DH is home in the evenings, and I'd like to bring it out on the deck when the weather is nice, but I don't know if that's too much to ask?
We had a good chunk of sleep last night before G went off the rails and was up every 1.5 - 2 hours. But starting that at 2 am was better than midnight, so I'll take it for the moment.
DH is putting together an in person interview for while we're in Rome. I'm vaguely planning on that being G's and my clothes shopping morning.
Other than that, we're getting another influx of fall weather. I hope it sticks around because I'd love some cooler nights for sleeping.

Question: Has anyone transitioned from a Soothie/WubbaNub to another type of pacifier? DS has only taken a Soothie pacifier, but they are only supposed to be used through 6 months/when a baby has teeth. DS has had two teeth for about a month now and I've still been letting him use his WubbaNubs. I have several other types of pacifiers, but he won't really suck on them. Since they're harder plastic, he thinks they're fun to bang against the back of the crib to make noise. Ugh. He'll maybe do a couple sucks and then just play with them. I did buy a Paci Plushie to attach to a pacifier and haven't tried that yet. I'm hoping he'll associate that with the animal on the WubbaNub and realize they're for the same purpose.
I see plenty of moms post pics of their kids over a year old still using WubbaNubs, and I'll admit I've silently judged them, but I get it now. I would like to stop using them sooner rather than later, though, because they can be a choking hazard.

Good morning/almost afternoon!
I slept with my contacts in last night. Bad idea. My eyes feel like dried out sponges.
We took DD to pick out our Christmas tree yesterday. It was a fun little hayride, we tagged our tree(after climbing a mountain of Christmas trees with A in the Ergo, we ended up with a tree right next to the wagon. Go us.)
Then my sister took family pictures of us at the park where we got married. It was a fun day out.
Oh, and I forgot my breast pump today. We're weaning, but I haven't pumped in two days, so my boobs are complaining

What is WITH THE COLDS? Babygirl finally slept most of the way through the night two nights in a row, then woke up at 12 am (with Daddy leaving in four hours for the whole week) with a head full of snot and a body full of angry.
I'm so tired of these colds. Where is she getting them? None of the other kids at her Montessori have them. Argh.

DH convinced me to hold off on constructing a baby jail until after we move. I found a design on Pinterest using pvc pipe and connectors to make a frame and fabric or plastic mesh and cable ties to make the walls. I'm making a partial one to block off the TV.

So I just spent entirely too long looking through the Gerber baby photo contest entries to see what people name their kids…there are some interesting choices out there.
They have deflated to sad little lumps since I stopped pumping, I'm a cup size smaller than pre preg, I thought people say boobs get bigger after baby. The allergy I had with the pump parts - I guess the skin is healing, now my boobs are peeling.
I clearly need a new avatar, since the girls so far from being awesome.
I tried putting the direct link, but apparently it doesn't work. You can search by first name…or browse through the photos for other interesting names.
PikoPiko my boobs turned into sad versions of their former selves also. Definitely smaller, though my ribcage got bigger so not a single one of my old bras fit. The ones I could try to make work were so unflattering I threw them all out and bought new ones.
Having a hard day, and it's all me. I think when I woke up at 4:30 after tops 3 hours of sleep because DD is having sleep issues to the monitor beeping because it lost the connection and then dropping the monitor so the back came off and not being able to put it back together in the dark and then getting in to bed and having to fight my husband for covers because the blanket had turned around sideways really got my Monday off to a poor start. DH got up with the baby and fed her this morning so I could sleep in, but I am still a big grump and it feels like nothing is going my way.
