I've been feeling on and off crappy for the last 5 days or so. We will find out the sex. I have my first u/s this Friday. No PIPs Baby will sleep in our room for a few months, then hopefully its own room, though we aren't against it sharing with M. I just hope it sleeps better than M does.
2. Glucose test on 10/30 and next OB appointment on 11/4.
3. Not much new. I ran around a lot after William this weekend and did a lot of chasing him and lifting him, etc. (more than usual - we were at a pumpkin patch and then the zoo, and he was ALL over the place). Anyway, I definitely noticed a difference in chasing him and lifting him this weekend. I think I have reached the point where it is starting to get a little bit more difficult to do those things. Which worries me since I still have a long way to go. I think I just over did it a little bit this weekend, and hopefully in the future it won't feel as hard to keep up!
Otherwise, lots of movement and still not sleeping but otherwise doing well.
QOTW: Dosey will start out sleeping in our room, and we will play it by ear in terms of when to transition him/her out of our room. I suspect he/she will be in with us for a minimum of six months. Beyond that, Dosey will room share with William if we are still in our current house.
I might come back with a PIP later, but I don't currently have anything to share...

I have been so horrible about checking this website! Sorry to anyone who was following.....I am currently on bed rest until our son arrives, which is within the next three weeks. Still can't believe I am going to be a mom!!
1. General overview (examples--answer what you like: How many weeks? First baby/, second, etc.? Do you know the sex of the baby? 37 weeks, first baby, boy
2. Appointment Updates (recent appts? ones coming up?) I am not at weekly appointments, so every Wednesday I see the Dr to see if I am dilated. Baby is head down.
3. General symptoms/rants/concerns/exciting things? Other than not sleeping well and a slight ache in the back, I can't complain, I haven't thrown up in over a month and have had a better 3rd trimester than the 1st or 2nd.
Our son will sleep in our room at first, then we will switch him over to his nursery.
We have appointment in week to hear heartbeat. I swear these first few weeks are dragging between the nausea and the not hearing a heartbeat yet.
I was so exhausted this morning. I usually get out of the house in the morning with C but it didn't happen until after her nap. We went to the park and I felt awful so we didn't stay too long. It's hard to run after her there when I'm out of breath and lightheaded sometimes. I know it will get better 2nd tri but I am a little worried about the 3rd tri and keeping up with her. It didn't help I worked last night until 11:30. I at least took a nap today.
We are hoping to buy a house in May. Our lease is up in June so hoping to move beginning of May and have a month overlap before baby arrives. And then if baby arrives early hopefully the extra month will be enough wiggle room. I guess it scares me a little to move at that time. But not sure what else to do. We don't want to wait a whole year later and lease is yearly.
I will try post PIP later. Don't think I can on my phone.

7 weeks, 5 days.
Had our first ultrasound last Friday... it was incredible. Everything looked good and we got to see the heartbeat. Also found out that we got into our preferred midwives (1st choice!) since a client with a late May due date moved! Yay! Have to call and schedule that appointment tomorrow.
At the ultrasound we got the schedule of follow-ups at the RE's, they do 5 ultrasounds!! 7 weeks, 9 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks, and 19 weeks. Is this normal? I was just reading about the increasing unnecessary ultrasounds in Ontario. I'm wondering if we should opt out of a couple.
QOTW: Definitely sleeping in our room for the first little while. I can't fathom getting up and walking to another room 5 times a night to breastfeed. Then eventually into our teeny, tiny second bedroom. Eventually we're going to need a bigger place... I love our neighbourhood though and anything bigger would be a lot pricier.
2. Our next appointment isn't until 11/5 and I'll need to do my 1hr glucose test before then.
3. I've been feeling about the same except when I woke up yesterday, I had a sharp pain in the lower right side of my abdomen and groin. Like it hurt to walk, rock/tilt my hips but for the most part sitting was ok. It lasted pretty much all day. In the afternoon I called our Doctor and they thought it could be normal pregnancy pains. But when I mentioned the heaviness in my abdomen, she suggested I come in to rule out any type of infection. So, I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon.
Baby cetcar has started to roll where it feels like a big wave in my stomach that's visible from the outside. Sometimes we've been able to feel where they are hanging out from the outside with our hands.
QOTD 1- I downloaded tapatalk so I'll try and post a picture from there.
QOTD 2- We're planning on having them sleep with us at first. We don't quite know what to do. We have a 2 bedroom house, however, we have a lot of family who lives out of state and is going to want to visit. We're torn between storing the guest bed and having an actual nursery or keeping the bed and replacing the loveseat with the crib and the bookcase with a dresser. That's about all we could do and there wouldn't be a lot of open floor space. It's not a tiny room but it's not big either.

2. Appointment Updates (recent appts? ones coming up?) Nothing this week but an ultrasound next week (yay!); we haven't seen LO since early September so we're super excited.
3. General symptoms/rants/concerns/exciting things? I'm still sick, it's getting old; people are sick of hearing it and I'm sick of feeling it. DS has asked if he can come with us to the u/s to find out what the baby's sex is. I'm happy that he's happy and wants to be part of things.
QOTW: 1. My pip is on C's phone so I will come back and post tomorrow.
2. DS is switching bedrooms (his choice) and his current room will become the baby's room. LO will sleep in our room for a few months and then move into their new room.
officerofthelaw - great pic! So happy to see you here; I was wondering how you have been doing! Love the nursery! Keep us posted when your little man arrives.
kh826 - It worked! Great pic! Those are totally my wardrobe staple colours.
cetcar - Great pip and I'm jealous that you can wear a t-shirt outside right now. How did the appointment go?
bexincanada Hooray for a good ultrasound and getting your midwife! I kept all the ultrasounds (slightly different schedule) because some of them are screening for specific things (part of the OHIP funded IPS).
mahler5, sorry that things are dragging and that your not feeling great, hopefully things get better soon. #takeallthenaps
