PgAL Check-In: October 19th (OOPS! Ignore this thread!!)

nitecheese had the great idea of starting PgAL check-ins. Hope you're okay if I start the one for today! It's so difficult being PgAL, especially in these early weeks, so use this space as a place to voice your fears and how you are doing with being pregnant after a loss/losses. I just stole this format from the May '16 board until we decide what we're going to do for sure!

How far along are you (weeks/size): 7 weeks-blueberry


How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? I am doing okay. Much better after seeing the heartbeat but still really nervous and feel sure I'm going to relive the past, which isn't true. Trying to read and remember the mantras over on the CAR board.


Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: I had an appointment last week, so none until next time. I was an absolute wreck before this past appointment. Thankfully, my doctor is the best-she is so sweet and understanding and was so happy to relieve my fears-she even emailed me later that night to remind me that the chance of miscarriage after seeing a heartbeat is less than 5%.


QOTW: What are you most anxious about in these early weeks PgAL? Anything you're doing to help relieve the stress? I am constantly checking for spotting. I did bleed for two weeks during this pregnancy, so I know spotting isn't definitely something bad, but it's the first sign that something was wrong last night, so I'm constantly checking. It's helpful to try to get my mind off of it and stay busy, I know I will feel much better when more time passes. Also, to logically remember that the circumstances, symptoms, etc. are different this time.
