He's here!! He arrived to the world of the air breathers yesterday at 1:43pm weighing 7lb 6oz screaming like a champ. The absolute most beautiful sound in the world! I still can't believe he's really mine! He's perfect. He has so many similar traits to his brother Fenix yet so perfectly his own.
I had some complications on my end, but Griffin never had a single issue the entire time. It was so wonderful to hear his heartbeat and know he was safe.
The docs went back and forth on whether it was actually the pitocin that caused the hives or just another weird sensitivity that I developed with pregnancy (y'all might remember I've been itchy this whole time but never confirmed cholestasis and never had a pupps rash) , but after delivering Griffin and getting the bolus of pitocin injected to deliver the placenta and help with bleeding, I immediately went into anaphylactic shock. I quickly had 6 doctors rushed into the room and not a single one had ever seen anything like it. I mean, who is allergic to the synthetic version of what we naturally produce? 2 epi pens, 50mg of injected benadryl, and a couple other meds thar I don't remember we got it under control and all is well on the home front. I have to give major kudos to dh for being so responsive and attentive to both my and Griffin's needs. He's an amazing father and I'm in love 100xs over again.
I just can't believe he's here, he's ours, and he's perfect!
