DD is Katie Mae. I don't really see an issue with the name. I've been called Harley my fair share of times b/c people misheard my name Carli. It's never really bothered me.
I actually like the name. It's NMS, but not terrible. I went to high school with a girl named Harleigh, and I thought that was the proper spelling, but apparently not!

I also went to high school with a Harleigh!
...how creepy would it be if we knew the SAME Harleigh?!?!
As much as it drives me BSC when people say this to me about DD's (legitimate human) name, Harley is a dog's name- my mom's dog.
Lurker here. My 94 year old grandpa is Harley. It's ranked #47 for boys in England. It is a legitimate human name.
yikes stuck in box..
It is from my understanding a traditional surname, and masculine. The misspelling on a girl makes the name no unattractive and does not make it a female name.
The association with dogs and a particular brand of motorcycle also does not, to me, make it an attractive name.
I know a baby girl Harli. Named after the motorcycles, but "girl-ied up". Yep.
An early season of trueblood had a pie shop girl named Harley. One of her patrons told Sookie something along the lines of "you can't expect too much out of her, her parents named her after motorcycles"
