So my boss and the plant manager are both out the rest of the week and the HR director just told me to work from home Friday to study for my exam. I should do that, right?
I have to go get bloodwork done before my endocrinology appointment next week and pick up a prescription. I have two prescriptions at CVS. Both are monthly. Each one is refilled two weeks after the other one.

It's driving. me. insane. I'm always at CVS.
Is there anyway to switch so you can get them filled at the same time? That stinks. Are you having your levels checked?
I can ask CVS what to do about it. It's a minor problem in the great scheme of life, but really - CVS all day long.
Yes, I have to get my TSH/free T3/free T4 checked. This will be my last every three month check! I get to switch to every six months if these levels come back normal!
hi all I'm here, lurking and killing time at school. dnw to do anything today. I just want to sit and colour. I would trade some of my allocated sick days for more "fuck this I'm colouring don't talk to me" days

I'm in the office today with the worst headache...have taken tons of aspirin but not helping. It's also freezing in here today so I just want to be home on the couch working so badly! I'm dragging myself to workout at lunch and usually I just have smoothie after that...but I might need real food today. Or a donut. Yeah...that sounds perfect.

So jealous of every 6 months! So so jealous! I was told to come back at 4 weeks this time but when I called I was told to come have an appointment to pick up my blood work order. So it's more like 6 weeks this time. How did you get an endocrinologist? Did your family doctor refer you? I have to wait until January when insurance kicks in, but just wondering.

Blech. I've had a road.
I was diagnosed in Oct 2014 and put on too much synthroid. I got wicked migraines. They dialed me back to 1/3 of the dose and that - miracuously - works. My TSH was high (13), but responded well to just 25 mcg synthroid. I most definitely have Hashimoto's (antibodies >800).
For the first year, I let my primary doctor check me every three months. I tried to get an endocrinologist about six months ago on her recommendation and my state of being. I didn't feel well - I can't control my body temp, my hair is still falling out, and I was just exhausted. Something wasn't right. That endocrinologist can just fuck right off with ever seeing me again. She was a wretched bitch.
So, I dropped the endo search. My primary kept telling me that she was uncomfortable taking care of my thyroid when I was pregnant (yoohoo, don't get pregnant) so she pushed me again to find an endocrinologist. I took her advice and saw a second guy. He was AMAZING!
He put in standing orders for my thyroid. I just go to the lab after the appropriate amount of months. I also have the standing lab there in case I do get pregnant so I can get my numbers drawn right away. Seriously, the guy is awesome.
SAD NEWS: He's leaving on Oct 31st. He'll be replaced by a new person. I made him promise it wasn't wretched bitch endocrinologist from across town.

Wow joy! That is quite a road. I've been seeing this Physician's Assistant for a little over a year. I can't wait to switch. I am grateful I can get treated without having insurance at a price I can afford but will be even more grateful when I can switch to someone else and maybe get an endo. Eta: sorry you're losing the endo you love. Standing blood orders sound like a dream! #hypothryoiddreamer
Argh. My principal just came to talk to me at recess (I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday at lunch) and told me that a) she is concerned for me and b) she is concerned for my students as a consequence which made me feel like crap. She suggested I seek out a mentor and some PD to help with my classroom management (which also makes me feel like I'm not doing my job well enough).
I know her intention was to show that she cares and to offer types of support but she left me feeling like I am a failure as a teacher/employee.

The good thing about tapatalk notifications working is that I get notified. The bad thing is my mgr also gets notified. My phone vibrates very loudly on my desk.

((hugs)) Ray. I'm sorry she made you feel insecure. You are a great teacher.
I promise, there is nothing wrong with seeking out the support of coworkers and possible mentors. I think to a lot of supervisors it can show initiative and dedication to your profession. So even though she presented it badly, it could be a valuable move!
I'm going to sneak myself in here. We have decided to TTC #3. I was on TD when we TTC #1 (she's 4) and more recently #2 (14 months). I was Joy1192 in those days.
Anyways, hi! I like donuts, cake, and all the coffee.
There is an official mentoring program that all new teachers have to take their first year. I may take the optional second year because a) mentoring can't hurt and b) I will get 4-5 release days to go do mentoring stuff that will be a nice break from the classroom.
If things don't pick up I might take a week stress leave to just kinda chill out and refocus.
Today was field trip day. I need a date with my couch, netflix, and a nice bottle of wine! Herding 20 high schoolers with disabilities around a massive shopping center while trying to get them to at least pretend to listen to the speaker is not my idea of a fun day! At least Gordon Biersch gave us free lunch
