DH just told me one of his co workers found out his gf is 5 months pregnant and I was like wow that's awesome and then asked dh how she didn't know this whole time. He said he didn't know and then I asked oh so is she due in June? And he said they don't know because she's never had an ultrasound or seen a doctor. I'm confused on how she would know she's 5 months then? Even going based off LMP there are a lot of factors that can play into that being wrong.
She is going to be on the next episode of "I didn't know I was pregnant," I don't know how people can go that long and not know they are pregnant.
I know and plus the whole I'm 5 months thing is bothering me...I'm just confused lol.
When you are peeing, purposefully stop the stream 3-5 times. This will help with incontinence issues by forcing you to correctly perform kegels without over-strengthening your anus, which can exacerbate hemorrhoids due to increased straining.
You don't have to do it every time you pee, just a couple of times throughout the day.
Now back to your regularly-scheduled programming that probably doesn't have you thinking about your anus strength!
I've done this for years and I still pee when I cough.

Lunch fail. I decided I would buy frozen burgers and buns instead of ordering out. Well, I saw portobello Swiss burgers and thought it would be fantastic to have a burger with mushrooms and cheese in it.... Apparently I can't read because it says right on the front of the package in big letters vegetarian. I'm so upset, it was filled with onions (gross) and I couldn't even finish it. And I bought a BBQ ranch salad instead of a chipotle southwest salad. All around a horrible lunch experience.

UGH!! I hate that!! I bought a muffin once that was vegan. VEGAN! I was so sad.
Pee in cup, weight, blood pressure, heart beat check, uterus measuring and answer any questions. It's super quick.
I can't remember with dd but did anybody that already went to there 16 week or so appointment, did they schedule your anatomy scan?
Yep. We did all of the previously mentioned things, scheduled our a/s, and had blood drawn for the second part of the genetic screening. I was in and out.

I have a girl on Facebook that I went to school with...and she is one of those people that you just can't delete because she is always posting her business, and it is just like a train wreck that you can't look away from. Anyway, she is about 12 weeks pregnant...and she seriously posts every single dirty detail for all of the world to see. Today we all learned that she has a yeast infection.
Some things are not for Facebook, ladies. It is okay to keep some shit to yourself. Please. When I come to this place, I anticipate seeing things of that nature. I am mentally prepared for it. It does not bother me at all. When I log in Facebook to message my grandmother back, I am not expecting to get smacked in the face with overshare. Haha
I brought the leftover cupcakes from my niece's bday party to work so I wouldn't eat them all. I already ate one and if my coworkers don't get on it and eat the cupcakes then I'm STILL gonna eat them all.
Also, I'm discovering that pregnancy brain is a real thing. A real horrible thing. I feel like I left my brain somewhere.
Also also, 9 STORES. I HATE SHOPPING. I had to go to 9 stinking stores last night to find maternity pants that I could wear to work. Who would've thought that black maternity slacks were so hard to find? Not me. Apparently everyone thinks that spandex leggings pass as work pants now.
YES. SO freaking hard to find black maternity slacks. I also hate over the belly ones so I had to hunt for some underbelly pants. H&M finally did for me.

Later today I am going to a "Meal Shower". It is this really cool thing the women at our church do for expectant families (usually 2-3 weeks before baby is due), and we have two ladies due next month so there is a lot of food to prepare. What they do is create an online sign up with all the ingredients needed, so people can bring as much or as little as they want, and get together to make freezer meals. This will be my first time participating, so I don't know how much they make, but I'm super excited for when it's my turn! Has anyone else done anything like this?
That's a really cool idea! I will make my own freezer meals before LO arrives, but it's exhausting when you are 9 months pregnant.

Someone asked me whether I was "always this feisty or if I'm having a boy and it's all that testosterone?" Is this a thing? I was like, "Uhh... if that's true we are all in trouble if it's a boy because I'm always this feisty."

I have received and fulfilled my first legit pregnancy craving. And it has been glorious.
And it's different - cheese pizza with arugula. I discovered it this summer and it's so amazing. I foresee a bunch of this in my future. Good thing DH and DD like pizza, and not arugula

That sounds crazy to me. I went to our Kohls and they ONLY had black or gray pants and about 30 pairs of each.

My Kohl's doesn't even have a maternity section. Target had some maternity slacks but their pants are chronically short. I'm jealous of having NINE stores to even shop at! I'm tapped out at two, Target and Old Navy. Both of which are the cutest little versions of each store than you've ever seen.

I really wish I could feel baby move more often....I don't remember this lull period between flutters and full on movement. I'm a nervous nelly and it's seriously freaking me out.

I was planning to make tuna salad for lunch, but now I can't stop thinking about pizza! PB strikes again at derailing my meal plans....
Ahh, i'm sorry!! But do the pizza... it's so good!!!!
I seriously get annoyed when people without children say the would never do or try certain things with their unborn kids. Seriously stfu.
My husband and I have made an ongoing joke about this, being first-timers. Any time anyone says something about child-rearing options, or if a child within our vicinity is even mildly annoying, one of us will smugly say, "our child will never do [thing]."
This is, of course, obviously a joke - we know nothing. It just eases the tension for me to acknowledge that in a jokey way.

Umm.. I gave my husband our food for the day for the fridge to put away (We work together) and I just went in (3pm - went out to lunch) to get the pasta salad I've been craving - and its still in the bag and sitting on top of the fridge! ERRRR..... I'm sure it was an innocent mistake - but I really wanted some pasta salad.

Thanks for all the support ladies! Fiance called from work to ask about doctor appt. It went good. Baby's heartbeat was only in the 130s but they said that's okay, it was probably because I hadn't eaten since last night. Scheduled my a/s ultrasound...it's .... Tuesday at 1:30pm Eastern time ! Yay!
I just got tickets to see one of my favorite bands who never come to my neck of the woods. The show is in April and it's general admission (no seats) and I don't even care. I'm so excited.
I hate my Sister A's boyfriend. He is a complete and total douchebag. He tells everyone how he is buying a house, gonna raise cows, gonna buy a truck, start a business, take over a business, WHATEVER. They have been together for 2 years. She rarely sees him, maybe for a few hours on Saturdays. He lives 25 minutes from our town, has no license (because he was brilliant, got a DUI and punched a cop), and she has to haul him back here to see him. He doesn't believe in birthday or holiday celebrations because he had a bad childhood (boo fucking hoo, don't ruin it for everyone else). And while he tells my sister he wants a baby with her, he has made ZERO effort to move out of his neice's basement or make any commitment to my sister. And he doesn't believe in marriage - which is fine for some people but she wants the whole big white wedding. She is stuck home on weekends because he has a jealous streak and fears she is out fucking every guy that looks at her, which would never happen anyway. She confuses the need of sex for a relationship. Is it too much to ask for a work accident to remove him from our lives? Ugh. End rant. Thank you Random Thread.
