Does anyone give their little one pediasure? My bff and I use the same pediatric practice, but see different doctors. Tomorrow for ds well visit, we are seeing the other one, which when bffs daughter was 2 and would not eat veggies, I know that pediasure was his recommendation.
We do. Our pedi suggested it and E loves them! She is really picky about food and even though she generally likes veggies it puts my mind at ease that she is getting that little extra. We do one a day.
We do smoothies and they are cheaper. 2 scoops greek yogurt with honey, handful of kale, banana, splash of milk and some frozen fruit. If I am using a stronger fruit I also throw in peas lol. Our boys love them and will ask for them over dinner some times.

My pedi said that if M was really not willing to eat any veggies, we should give her a Flintstones, but make sure she didn't run with it and chewed it right away since she could choke if she didn't. We tried that and she was game. She eats cereal, so I'm not really that concerned, but we give her one from time to time.
Pediasure makes "sidekicks" which have fewer calories than regular pediasure, and I take those if we're going to be out and away from milk for a day. Pediasure is popular among the preemies who don't eat much at all, but I don't think it is a good choice for kids who will eat french fries but not broccoli. Our baby book says these beverages are a scam and that you don't need them.

This reminds me of a friend of mine who had an itty bitty toddler, and the Dr recommended pediasure. Now, friends weren't so smart and gave her the pediasure BEFORE her meals, so duh, she wouldn't be hungry to eat any real food after essentially downing a milkshake. And then they wondered why she wouldn't ever eat at meals. So please, if you do pediasure, make sure you wait until other foods are offered.
We just saw the pediatrician. He suspects Logan has eosinophilic esophagitis, causing him to reject foods, so we are going to a GI doctor. Right now, due to the limited amount of veggies he is not allergic to, we are starting a multivitamin and the pediasure.
