Haha!! This is so true!! I don't know how I've survived so long with so little sleep!! Isla wakes every 2-3 hours normally yet somehow she slept for 10 hours straight last night. I don't even care that we've been up since 5:30am-I'm just so happy

What a weekend! The flights went well but we got in way too late last night. Weekend was great, it was wonderful to be back in Texas. But I totally fell off my DietBet train, so back to exercising and you know, dieting this week.

S started clapping this morning! I laid him on the changing table and he just did it out of the blue. Now he's been clapping for everything, especially after I change his diapers. It's like he's cheering me on and telling me that I did a great job lol. I love it! He's also finally gotten the hang of waving bye-bye too. I can't wait for him to start blowing kisses now.

First weekend away from DD went fine. Of course I missed her, but getting a whole night's sleep was fantastic! I feel like a new person today, lol.
DH was so tired when I got back that he wanted to go to bed at 8:30. Well, dude, now you know what my day (and night) is like every day.

Left my boppy at the hotel and didn't realize until we were at the airport. DH said we had everything, but he thought I was grabbing the pillow and I thought he had put it under the stroller when he was telling me that everything was packed and I didn't need to sweep the room. Lesson learned. I always need to sweep the room.

Must buy another tomorrow.

2. DD2 learned to clap this last week too. She's adorable. Working on waving now.
3. Some how DD2 gained a good habit on vacation: a 2+ hour nap! I kept it going at home and she's totally doing it. Thank the Lord! I got so much done today.

5. Grocery shopping tonight. Maybe I can eek one more restaurant/bad food dinner out of it, post vacation.

Talked to my husband last night after he got the baby down and I got settled in my hotel. He was frustrated because the baby was being "clingy", and he couldn't make himself a proper lunch or dinner. I tried to be sympathetic, honest I did, but I was rolling my eyes soooooo hard. Dude, I've been dealing with that for EIGHT MONTHS. I kinda like that the baby wants to be near me, because I know that won't always be the case. Aw, man. Now I have to combat the feels. With carbs!

Hot chicken in the stand mixer with paddle attachment = shredded chicken.

For example, today I boiled a batch of boneless chicken breasts, put them straight from the pot into the mixing bowl, turned on the mixer and in a minute it was all beautifully shredded.

You could do thighs or legs, too, any bone-in chicken, you'd just have to remove the bones first.

I have a kitchen aid but the darn thing makes this awful sound. It's been broken basically since I got it (as a gift) and I never called to see about a repair.

That's a shame because kitchen aid stand mixers are beasts. I adore mine.

I had to go to the grocery store tonight because we weren't able to go over the weekend and I feel like my whole evening has been thrown off. I hate feeling like I'm off my game.
