@kfran's post about markers and crayons got me thinking that I'd like to get Josie an easel for Valentine's Day. Does anyone have one already? I would love a chalkboard side so she could play with letter magnets and chalk (eventually). TIA.
We ordered the Step 2 easel from Amazon. It's a chalkboard on one side and dry erase on the other. It comes with magnetic letters and numbers. We actually havent even opened it yet, but probably will soon.

We have the Step2 Easel as well. We just put it together this past weekend. Chalkboard on one side, white board on the other. It comes with a pack of foam magnetic letters/numbers/random figures(house, car, boat, etc.) Cadence seems to like it.
I've been thinking about getting one. I like the one at IKEA, but I HATE going to IKEA. Also my house is small, I have no idea where I'd even put it. I wish I had a patio or something. Right now he's coloring with crayons all over a LARGE shipping box we got from amazon, so he can sit in it and draw anywhere.

This! I love the idea of the box! My daughter usually tries to just eat the crayons and then laugh at me when I tell her no.
Another vote for the Ikea, one. Can't beat a huge ass easel for 14.95! It also has a little attachment piece so that you can attach a roll of paper (sold separately) that can be used with crayons, markers, etc.
