I am so annoyed with this phase. It's exhausting. DS is up throughout the night, wakes up for the day at 6-while we're trying to get ready for work, is super grumpy, and hates the car seat so I get to listen to him crying the whole way to daycare. Recently, he started crying at drop off and holding on to me for dear life. This really sucks. I am ready for my trip to Austin next week. Is it too early to drink?!
I was MIA yesterday and haven't caught up. My mom is flying in today and I'm trying to get last minute stuff done.
DH and I talked a little and he's in a better place. We're coming up with a game plan that changes his stress level but keeps him professionally employed. He's also realizing that his anxiety is just as much a chronic condition as his UC and has to be managed.
Someone, and I'm not sure who, put our TV to Fox News. I was just reminded why I don't watch Fox News.
Mara was up a lot last night. I lost count after wake up #12. She still has a fever & is currently sleeping on top of me. I'm going to see if we can get an appt today. It's probably another EI. We just got over the last one!
I handed Hannah her water sippy this morning to keep her busy while I was putting my coat and shoes on and she walked over to the corner and laid down with it. I don't think she was ready to get up for the day yet.
Glad that things are looking up, finnaroo. I'm also glad the babies are generally getting better!
I'm exhausted. Being pregnant, working and taking care of E without DH is no joke. When DH gets home this weekend I'm giving him E and locking myself in the bathroom for a day-long bath.

tgrimes1980 I hope you can get Mara in to see the dr. today!
Cadence came to my bed again last night. I'm starting to not really mind it. It is easier than getting up multiple times a night to soothe her. Plus, there is plenty of room in my bed and I don't mind sharing the space with her....except when she starts smacking me in the face in her sleep.
Happy Birthday to your little boy melaniesue05 !!! Have you been to Mt. Playmore?
Glad you guys talked, Finn, and I hope things start getting better. I think it helps to remove the stigma and remember that anxiety is just another medical condition and should be treated as such. Honestly there are A LOT of conditions that I could say that about.
@tgrimes9180 - I hope Mara starts feeling better and you start caffeinating.
The forecast is starting to look better for my trip next week. I rarely travel without a couple months of notice, so booking with less than a week until I leave has me feeling a bit anxious. Plus I still need to perfect my pitch. It's all a bit unnerving.
We also found out that one of C's "best friends" at daycare is moving to the next class up next week. He's only a week older than C, but he's very solid on his feet. Anyhow I've already joked with this kid's Mom about how I want the boys to be best friends, so I'm sad they're getting separated for now. DH is being his little project manager self, coming up with a plan to help encourage C to walk more solo. I think he's going to regret it once he realized C will never stay put again.
klongoria11, no! What/where is that? I'll have to look it up!
I want to say it is right on the edge of Austin/Round Rock. Babies under a certain age get in free, parents are only $1. I haven't been yet, but my SIL took her boys and they LOVED it!!! IT is basically an indoor playground. Tubes, shoots, nets, craziness. They have a special area Toddler area as well.
Oh also untaggablekatie how is I this morning? How was last night?
Good Morning all!! Thanks for checking @mx2!
Isaac is doing great! He slept well thanks to baby motrin.
Also AW: We had a check up with the pulmnologist this morning and his lungs are crystal clear!! no wheezing! He hasn't been sick much this winter and I think its from the QVar he has been on! I am on cloud 9!!
Season finale of parenthood is tonight so I am mentally prepping for that!

Sounds like fun! I'll have to check it out. It's not too far from me either. Only 3.5 miles!

untaggablekatie, someone on the stupid Today show gave a spoiler for Parenthood and I'm so mad about it. I basically have been waiting for it every episode. What an asshat! I'm excited to see it but sad it's over. I love the Bravermans.

Does he want to hold on to you guys to walk most of the time? Sierra's physical therapist is having us use a broom handle or a hula hoop and has us hold one end and her hold onto the other end and walk around the house like that. It's to help break that human contact and get her more independent. Even though she is still holding onto something it gives her a bit more independence and confidence that she can do it on her own.
That sounds like a good idea! C's pretty solid walking on his own and I'm convinced he's holding on as more of a mental security blanket. I'll have to try this around the house. Thanks!!

Morning ladies.
Had to be in the office early today. This was actually a good thing. If I went in at regular time I may still be waiting for a train (this is only a slight exaggeration). As it was,y commute was a full hour....normally only 30 minutes. Yikes!
Hope all the sick and sleepless babies are moving on to better things.

Happy Thursday!
I take the commuter rail in, and get alerts sent to my phone. I have a million delayed train alerts this morning. So glad to be WFH, and not looking forward to dealing with the trains again next week (after all the extra snow we're getting over the weekend).
I can't imagine relying on public transportation to get anywhere like some of you ladies do. I was without my car for a day at the office and felt like the world had ended. It was awful.

You wouldn't mind if the alternative was horrible Boston traffic.

I'm having a hard time getting motivated to go about my day now that Doug is at day care. STUFF TO DO! But sitting around my bedroom in my underwear chatting with you ladies is far more fun.
@mothereffer I know that feeling, it really sucks. Our pedi says their second year of life tends to be much better on that front, hopefully that is true for Si.
margaerytyrell This phase is heinous, your vacation is well deserved.
tgrimes1980 Are they going to entertain tubes at this point?
A has another awful diaper rash. He's has diarrhea for a couple days and it's just tearing up his skin. DC is changing him right away and slathering on the cream, but he's still really uncomfortable. He screams bloody murder at every diaper change and when he first gets in the bath. I wiped him with wet cotton balls this morning and that seemed to bother him a little less.
My kid said bra this morning, in context. Opened my shirt, pointed to the strap, "bra." Yay?
