I find it weird when I see people go into the bathroom with things. Books or newspapers, I guess I understand, but I just saw an attorney go in there with a glass. An empty glass. I've also seen an attorney go in there with a banana. I don't think I've ever eaten and gone to the bathroom at the same time....FFC?
Going into the bathroom with phones has become commonplace where I work. Cell usage of any kind has been outlawed for is (I work on a trading floor). EVERYONE goes to the bathroom to check up on their personal life.
Eating in the bathroom, completely different and totally not exceptable in my books

@mishakaroni Did i see it's your birthday? Happy birthday!!!
finnaroo I'm so glad you guys talked and things are looking up. Like I said before, I think you are incredibly supportive and he is a lucky guy!
Cherhorowitz I feel the same way…. except we have three kids under 5 and really no time! We are trying to make more of an effort. I'm going out to sushi and wine with a girlfriend tonight and we got a babysitter tomorrow night and are having a date night. We haven't had an actual date night in FOREVER!!!
Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I had a craptastic day. First I somehow was late on our credit card payment. I'm in charge of paying the bills and I'm super organized and responsible, so I don't know how I messed this up. Got a $25 late charge. It's not that big of a deal, but I felt really bad about it and was kicking myself for being dumb and messing it up all day. Then i went to refill my anxiety prescription and found out my insurance won't pay for it anymore unless I use mail order. I don't want to use mail order, I just want to go pick it up from the damn pharmacy. I spent almost an hour on the phone with insurance and they were incredibly unhelpful and basically I'm looking at waiting two weeks for the refill to be processed through the mail order pharmacy. I have a call in to my dr. office so hopefully they can help. Then my fitbit stopped working and I'm trying to troubleshoot and reset it, otherwise I will have to go through the trouble of trying to get them to replace it. (I've only had it a month).
So basically, nothing huge happened, but a lot of little things put me in a horrible mood. I'm feeling better today though. I did a hard workout this morning and vented to my trainer and i'm looking forward to going out for a few hours tonight.

xolastunicornxo They should have given you the ability to opt-out of the mail order. My insurance did the same thing. It automatically signs you up for mail order and then you have to call in to opt out of it. And even then, it only lasts a year, so next year I'll have to call and opt out all over again. It is really stupid. If I wanted to do mail order then let me opt into it, not the other way around!

klongoria11 that's what I was trying to figure out on the phone with them last night! It's seems like it would make sense to opt out, but it didn't seem to be an option. Like I said though, the customer service was horrible and no one seemed to know what was going on! I did get a call back from my dr and she said she could write me a new prescription for a generic 90 day supply that I could fill at costco without insurance, and it would only be a few dollars more. She said she's been having a lot of patients having their insurances try to switch them to mail order and it's a huge pain in the ass. I'm just so annoyed by the whole thing.

xolastunicornxo I want to say the pharmacy tech gave me the number to call. Glad your dr. was able to give you a new RX though so you don't have to deal with it immediately.
Hi all! We made it to Vegas safely yesterday. C is most enthralled by the Exit signs in our hotel. We had a rough night--he woke up about 2 hours after going to sleep from coughing and just wouldn't go back to sleep. In fact, he just screamed until I finally grabbed a phone and put on Daniel Tiger. Then he took probably 2 hours to get back to sleep. DH is at conference all day today, so C and I are on our own. He's currently napping in the PnP and I'm sitting in a dark room bored. And hungry. Ok, DD over.
@beckj2013--We still have a bottle at bedtime (I know), but otherwise C has milk with meals and snacks (he maybe drinks 1-2 cups/day), with a water sippy sitting out all the time.
Cherhorowitz--Feel ya on the balancing social life. We were NOT overly social people prior, but it's still tough. Dang it, I'd occasionally like to go somewhere not kid friendly and not feel rushed due to a sitter. And I've passed on more than one get together because they start "too late".
The whole not having a social life now that we're moms is a big concern for me. My Mom centered her entire life around her family to the extent that she hasn't had any real interests or hobbies of her own. Now that we're older, she latches on to whatever my Dad is doing. It's awful to watch but I don't think she'd have a clue how to answer the "what would you do with 24 hours to yourself?" question. And her kids are LONG since grown.
So yeah, I think it's super important to keep your relationship fresh, see your friends, have hobbies, etc. We love our kids, but we AREN'T them.
I don't think I could move to the southwest, you guise. The houses look funny to me and everything is so brown.

Yeah but have you SEEN a sunset here? Amazing. And it's warm and beautiful, you would love AZ. And the Mexican food is a force to be reckoned with.
That's actually really funny, just last week one of my Tempe co-workers sent me a pic she'd taken of a sunset. And last time I was out, a friend took me out for delicious mexican.
It's just SO different. The only time I've spent away from the northeast was a term abroad in Seville during college and 6 months in the UK for work almost 5 years back. I've never even considered leaving, to be honest.

I just saw the news for the first time, I know someone on page 1 mentioned Mexico but I wasn't clear on what they were referring to. How terrible! I can't imagine. My heart goes out to those families!

I'll send you amazing pictures and you'll want to move here tomorrow. And when I'm in shorts and flip flops in February/March.
EVERYONE MOVE TO OKLAHOMA AND BE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE WITH ME.
I don't know why I'm shouting that. It snows here like 2x a year, so you can get your wintery fix, but we have great weather April-November, minus the tornadoes.
@mothereffer - We haven't really celebrated ANY holidays in ages. Not really birthdays or anniversaries, aside for maybe small gifts. For C, on the other hand, we go overboard. It's way more fun than buying each other gifts that we don't really need or even want.
Smoothies were a great idea! He drank a sippy and a half (I made a lot on accident)!
I always make enough for two sippies. I try to save the second one for later but he demands it. Toddlers love smoothies. It also makes him take massive poops. I assume the spinach.
