Keurigs are the worst. Bad taste, so much waste, they crap out quickly. For me the convenience is not worth it, and I'm a lazy chick.
I have one of the original Keurig models, and I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for it to break, but this thing is like a tank. I even run well water through it, which is supposed to be the kiss of death. It sounds like an aircraft carrier taking off. When it starts up automatically in the morning the heating element is so loud I can hear it in our bedroom at the other end of the house.
I don't have an issue with the taste, but I wish it got hotter. If I want more than one cup I use my french press instead.
I guess my UO today is that with the vent post about too many vent posts, and all of the check ins I'm having anxiety about where to post questions, or updates and things. I don't want to be all AWish, but at the same time I hate for my posts to get lost in the check ins (because, you know, my posts are pure awesome and shouldn't be missed)

I really think the best place for questions is in the check-in posts (WTO, TWW, WTDS, TFAS, etc. depending on your situation). Newbie Playdates are also a good place, as some of the experienced/very knowledgeable posters who don't always go in the check in threads will pop into there and answer questions.
ETA: Venting =/= questions ... They are usually different. If your question is an actual question, has broad appeal, and you have searched the board, the newbie blog, and tried asking in check ins, without getting a solid answer, then you can make a separate post. I'm pretty sure there's a super helpful (hilarious) graphic on the blog about this.

Haha, mine sounded like that too toward the end. A lot of the time I would have to beat the shit out of it before it would actually expell my coffee when it said "brewing". Or turn it on it's side and shake it. Always good fun. lol

Look, this is not that hard and lurking a bit usually will give you the clues you need. If you have a legitimate question that hasn't been answered a thousand times in the previous day or in the newbie blog, then post it!
And, what sort of update would you need to post?
If it's an update on a thread you posted, then edit your title to read "Updated in OP" and bump it. That way, people who participated in your earlier thread will see it and appreciate the update.
My UO is that DD coffee isn't that great. As a New Englander, this is definitely an UO. I will drink it - the new dark roast is better - but I prefer Starbucks or local coffee shops any day of the week.

Asking a question (that wasn't asked 5 times right before you) = okay!
Starting a random post about stupid shit that has no point ALL THE FUCKING TIME =/= okay.
The occasional AW post to me isn't a big deal, but if that's all you ever do then I will side eye the shit out of you. ESPECIALLY if it's something that could have gone in a Monday bitchfest, Tuesday twatwaffle, WTF Wednesday, etc.

I promise you that no one will get flamed for asking a question that isn't automatically answered inside the Newbie Blog or within the last couple days.
There are many, many situations that aren't 100% covered by the implantation spotting graphic. But, this has always been a board where you do have to lurk a bit and understand how things are handled. If you don't do that, and just HAVE to blurt out every vent or chart frustration that occurs to you in your own posts on the main board, you are going to get called out. Especially, by the way, if you don't participate in any other threads or parts of the community.
Daily personal ute updates outside of TWW and WTO tend to be frowned upon. Or, at least, I frown upon them.

Oh, the "updated in OP" is a great tip, thank you!

What everyone else has already said, plus it's possible that we may not need an update on everything all of the time (especially in its own thread).

I completely agree with this. I think their coffee is terrible, watery, and all the flavors taste like cleaner. I'm a bad New Englander flame away.

I'm a bad Philadelphian. I think Wawa coffee is awful for the same reasons - watery and lacking in flavor.

Yes, I think if you made a post about a specific topic or problem, it is nice to update with a specific result, usually in the original thread.
I will venture to say that a chart stalk request should never be bumped for an update. I promise no one is waiting with bated breath to know if FF put your CH on CD 15 or 16 or if you put watery instead of EWCM on CD12, it changes your CH.

Haha, +1. And I'm also a NEer. I posted that as my UO a month or 2 ago on the dump and people told me I was crazy. I'll go almost anywhere else before DD if I have a choice.
So I grow my hair out every few years to donate it. I'm getting close to donating time, and I'm REALLY considering going short like Kaley Cuoco for a change. EVERYONE around me tells me I shouldn't do it. But I'd rather just give it to someone else, and watch it grow again.
I have a long face, so apparently it wouldn't look good on me. Meh. I'll probably chop it off anyways.

H has an obsession with Wawa, not their coffee but everything else. The last Wawa left CT over a decade ago and ever since then its been like withdrawl. Anytime we go to a state that has a Wawa we HAVE to stop and get a sandwich.

I'll add to your chart stalks shouldn't be bumped for an update - I think chart stalk requests should stick to the respective WTO/TWW/WTDS threads. Or even the Newbie Playdate thread if you're looking for more opinions than may be in the WTO/TWW/WTDS threads. We don't need a board full of separate chart stalks!

THAT part of Wawa is amazing. I love Wawa. I just get tea there if I need something warm

I like those milkshakes they have the machine for.
ETA: And the sandwiches. I've never seen such a well stocked sandwich "shop" in a gas station. Especially one I was actually willing to eat the food from!

We just got a new Keurig because ours crapped out. It won't let me use some of the k-cups even though they have the keurig logo! WTF! (I guess that would be a good post for a WTF Wednesday)
I do agree with crapping out quickly. My first one lasted 10 months. It was still under warranty. The second one lasted 2 years (which was better... but still) and now we have this one.

Speaking of coffee, my UO is that I hate ALL coffee. The smell, the taste, anything about it-I'm just not a fan. It's a drink I wish I liked though- I feel like it would make mornings better!
LadyNymeria - I actually don't mind legitimate chart stalks, but "legitimate" is the challenge! A legitimate chart stalk is similar to the legitimate question standard.
Like, I can't stand a chart stalk request when you have no fucking data in your chart. But, sometimes, even an experienced sharter could use other thoughts and the regs outside of the WTO/TWW threads might be best able to offer assistance.

I used to hate it. Then I had an 8am finance class in college and I learned to like coffee quickly to get through it every day. I started with flavored coffee with decent amounts of cream/milk and sugar and just reduced the amount of stuff I added. Now it's just a splash of milk and a bit of sugar. Can't start my day without it!
