@bluedot, I can't think about nursery stuff yet because we're not even sure if the new baby will get a room, but oh my gosh, i seriously covet the cloud mobile and the wooden letter art. i'm going to see if we can afford to buy the wall art for LO's current nursery. at the very least it's all going on a pinterest board. thanks for sharing
bethelizDreaming all of those items were part of the winnings from that giveaway a while back! Hence why this stuff is already decided... the gift cards had expirations so I had to spend, spend, spend...
Well, my kid is 5 months old so his poor younger sibling will get his hand me down nursery or possibly have to share the nursery with him, so I will live vicariously through the rest of you.
Dreaming I've made a couple cleat coat racks as gifts, they're so easy and turn out great, I'll post a picture later tonight.
Such cute ideas! We are keeping things simple. He/She will be in our room for the first 6 months and hopefully we will move before they will need their own room.
Right now we have two bedrooms.
So many what ifs. But LOs room is a pale gray and he has dark cherry furniture. He had monkey decals everywhere but I've been slowly taking them down. I prefer grays, yellows, browns, etc.

This is my first time decorating a nursery and I'm so excited. DD was a surprise so she shared a room with us in our one bedroom apartment and only got a second bedroom as we were expecting DS so they shared when he was born.
I won a Babylist giveaway... it was GC's to a bunch of small shops. I entered just before my loss in August... So it was an amazing win... but really awkward timing...
Dreaming, here it is. I usually make them in two colors, with a wider piece of wood in the middle and two smaller on the outside and then just a piece of luan as a backing to join the three pieces of wood together.
Dreaming my SIL has a nautical nursery and If I were independently wealthy, I would have bought this for her LO. Be on the Sea Activity Floor Mat (Who spends 120 bucks on something that will be barfed on??? Why can't I have that kind of cash?)
And one cool nautical thing that SIL does have for her nursery is this lamp from PB Kids:
If this works out for us, the plan is that LO is in with us for 6ish months and then shares with my daughter. We have a 3 bed house but since we live overseas, we have family staying a LOT so we need to keep a guest room. We'd move LO into the larger room to share and make her room into the guest room. I'm eyeing up these beds at IKEA - by then our daughter would be old enough to flip it so she'd have the space underneath for her own stuff and eventually we could flip the other bed as well so they'd have their own spaces in the room. I've seen some really cute idea for how to decorate them on pinterest.
Call me Scrooge, but I never got into the whole nursery decorating thing. Even at 14 months, I have spent so few daylight hours in that room that I never could have justified the expense. J has a crib, dresser, bookshelf and some bins of toys. The only thing I spent a little on was a rug with a town on it so that he can play on it when he is a bit older.
I am so bad at DIY and totally uncreative, that is another reason I never did much. I figure when he is old enough to know what he likes, we will do more at that point.
