What I read says to put them on an hour or so before bedtime to starting blocking "blue light" to help release of melatonin.... Sounds hokey to me but maybe...??
I think this is legit. I've heard reputable sources talk about it and I'm sure there are studies about it. All the blue light that comes off computers, TV screens and phones these days affect your natural sleep cycle. You can actually download a blue light filter app to block it out at night before bed.
