Let's Talk About SuperBowl! (Food & plans)

We have my niece's birthday party in the afternoon, which will include pizza, nachos, hot dogs, cake, and ice cream.

Then we will order some wings, more pizza, mozzarella sticks and potato skins. No alcohol this year, though. Ugh.

I will hate myself Monday and IDGAF.

Mozzarella sticks, Sausage dip and chips, Tostitos, and wine. I may be watching by myself however. BF couldn't careless about FB.

Iam making chicken wings, cornbread, and cheesecake. We are having friends over, and they are bringing homemade chilli.

For the kids: baked chicken nuggets with different dipping sauces and some Annie's Bunnies snack mix.

For everyone: veggie and fruit trays, home-made guacamole with store-bought tortilla chips, buffalo chicken dip (I use a recipe from Food Network/Rachael Ray, I can't remember which mag I pulled it from) with celery and crackers.

My husband does two chilis: one red and one white.

Cornbread on the side.

Brownies for dessert.

It's our annual chili dinner and excuse to get together with my H's college buddies and their wives and kids.

Last year I made Alton Brown's Baked Mac and Cheese and it was well-received. I may make it this year depending on time.

This is what I posted in similar thread on my bmb. But I forgot the Rotel dip!

I'm making buffalo chicken dip, nachos,and maybe pizza. We aren't doing anything special. The last two times the pats were in the SB we threw a big party. I'd like to wallow in the defeat alone this year if it happens again.

I love Super Bowl Sunday...even though I don't particularly care about the game. I'm attempting this, which was in the latest Bon Appetit: www.bonappetit.com/recipe/beer-braised-brisket

Mozzarella sticks, meatballs, sausage and cheese dip... I don't know, really. Last year we had a party (with a LOT of kiddos), and we did build your own mini pizzas. It was super fun.

We host a party every year so I'm currently working on this year's menu. So far I think I am going to make BBQ beer pulled chicken, avocado humus, buffalo chicken dip, salsa rollups. Not sure what else I am going to make. I have a few containers of chili in my deep freezer from a couple weeks ago but I'm not sure if I can get away with using those for the party. Would that be weird?

My plan was to get in my comfy pants and make some appetizers and watch the commercials

But now we were invited to the in-laws, I think their tv room seats five and who knows if the game will even be on. I'm a little sore about it.

We are going to a party with DH's new coworkers. I am bringing chorizo stuffed jalapenos and pretzel bites. I won't be drinking much because I'll have to get us home since DH is unofficially required to play drinking games as part of his welcoming.
