Rough night. Bowel cramps causing contractions. 3am visit to OB ER. Saw my OB this morning and she put me on indocin over the weekend to see if it helps the contractions. Cervix was nice and thick, long, closed. So no immediate danger of pre term labor, just trying to keep it that way.
Anyone with experience with indocin? Please share!

Sorry about your rough night! I was on Indocin for 5 weeks from 22-27 while I was in the hospital on bed rest. I was also on Procardia at the same time, but I didn't have any noticeable side effects, except that it calmed my uterus and I stopped having contractions. How long are you going to be taking it?

She gave me enough for the weekend and I go back to see her on Monday for f/u and u/s. After that she mentioned taking it as needed for contractions. I am still getting the bowel pains/cramps but at least they are not setting off contractions now.
