Apparently things have been slow and we need to up our GBCB cred. So I am here to help. I have started a thread about granola (for those folks who haven't already noticed the obvious, you're welcome).
First order of business: Does anyone want any Free For Shipping granola? A couple months ago I was working on a new granola recipe for a grocery store and I made these two batches. But then I got busy and never did anything with them. They both taste good, but I have no idea what's in them, so they are pretty useless for recipe development. This is what I know about them: They both definitely have almonds, oats, maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla and salt. They definitely do not have dairy, soy, refined sugar or fruit. One of them seems to have puffed millet and perhaps some other spices. They both taste yummy and granolatastic. But other than that, I have no idea. Someone from here just placed and order(you know who you are *taps nose and points*), so I'm going to fill her box with some of the granola, but the rest of it goes to whomever speaks up first and sends me $11.30 for a medium flat rate shipping box full of granola (about 8 lbs).
Second order of business: I'm going to be working on that granola again today, so I want some recommendations. What kind of granola would you love to buy? Or what kind do you already buy (or make)? The store has told me that taste is the main selling point, not cost or healthy-ness. It will be maple syrup sweetened and have coconut oil. And they already have 4 granolas with blueberries, so that's out. I also don't want to do nuts because of cost/allergy/shelf life issues. I've got a few to try out, but I would love other suggestions.
Third order of business: Dance Party. Because no granola thread would be complete without a dance party.
