After a busy weekend with our LO's, how was your weekend? Did your LO trick or treat, are you enjoying your LO's candy, or are you being good and not eating it, any pictures to share? We all must have something to share after a fun holiday weekend, I'm just trying to keep the board going...
DD loved trick or treating...she dressed up as a ladybug, the weather was as good as it gets in NY for halloween and we went over to a friend's house to go around the neighborhood with their 4 kids. She would say trick or treat to almost every house and loved getting all the candy. We let her indulge in a couple of pieces that night and we ourselves have been snacking on her stash here and there, that's a plus we get for having a 2 year old right?! She woke up yesterday saying trick or treat Mommy, haha. She spent a few hours at the inlaws as we packed up a bit more of our house yesterday, we are hoping to close this week (fingers crossed)!!
We had a wonderful weekend, although we did not get to go out ToTing due to poor weather. We went to the zoo Friday and it was all but deserted, even though the weather was nice albeit cool. DD got to pet the Galapagos tortoise which was pretty neat. Saturday was a lazy day, and yesterday we went to a local nature preserve on the lake and walked a couple miles.
DD ate a lot of candy after her first night of ToTing, and lucky for me she forgot all about it by the next morning so I've been eating the rest. DD had a blast!!
We went TOTing and DD had a blast! She was a lion and the baby was an owl. My husband has been slowing picking away at her candy since she got way too much! (We only went to about 6 houses but our neighbors apparently like us).
DD keeps wanting dessert after dinner and we tell her she can have a piece of candy if she eats her dinner and is good. Well she has been yelling, putting her feet on the table, biting the baby and generally not eating so her candy has barely been touched. She'll learn someday, right?

We took the girls to the mall to trick or treat in the afternoon. I figured that DD would love running wild from store to store. I was wrong. She'd skipped her name and DH had to carry her the entire time. We took a few photos, got a few pieces of candy, and left.
We tried again that evening, going door to door. The plan was to do maybe 2-3 houses but she LOVED it and didn't want to stop! It was pretty chilly, and at one point she said that she was cold so we asked if she wanted to go home. She replied "No!! More candy! Ding dong!" Haha. DH kept giving her candy even though I'd said no more, and she puked the next day. Lesson learned for both of them.
