Trying to get into the doctor today for DS. His sleep has been pretty bad at night, but we chalked it up to teeth and wonder week he'll since he hasn't had fevers and he's been fine during the day. Got called for a fever at daycare. Low enough he can stay, but I'd like him to get checked out since daycare is a petri dish of baby plagues.
DS is still congested and was up at 5 because he doesn't understand DST. Grrr. Also, there was a huge accident on the way to work this morning and I was 30 minutes late. As much as I like my job, I hate that there's zero flexibility and compassion. I think it's time to dust off my resume and start searching for a new job, preferably one that isn't a 45 minute commute.
Much like kaydee0402 my job has no flexibility or compassion. Luckily I woke up on my own since after remembering to change my clock, I forget to turn ON my alarm.
It's supposed to be in the 70's today so I hope my parents get the girls out to the park to enjoy. It looks nice and sunny! Maybe I could go on a walk with them tonight too.
Greetings from my work bathroom while I pump. *grumble* can't people check a freaking calendar?
Anyway, I'm tired. DS doesn't seem too phased by the time change, which is a pleasant surprise. However, he was up from 12-3 last night. He was sneezing a little and had a dry couch a few times. I hope he's not catching a cold.
Hey ladies! We had a busy weekend with trick or treating with my family then dinner yesterday with DHs family.
So I read the FFFC but didn't add to it but I am having the same dilemma about my cats. For a little while now we've been having a problem with one of our cats having "accidents" outside of the litter box. I know it could be a UTI (which we're working on trying to isolate them to figure out who the culprit is) but I have a feeling it's more behavioral. DH and I are talking about our options and we're kind of leaning towards rehoming all three of them. It is seriously breaking my heart but at the same time a small part of me feels a little relieved. Ahhh this sucks. I just hope we end up making the right choice. I love them but I also do not want my house to smell like cat pee. Especially if they're doing it because they're unhappy here.
Sorry. Just had to get that out! Hope everyone has a good Monday.
tortor4 The cat pee is driving me insane. Our litter boxes are in the basement which is already damp and adds to the problem. I can't rehome my cats because the one is on special food for bladder infections and the other I'm just entirely too attached to. But the stink! ugh.
Ugh I have literally spent a small fortune on different sprays to try to get the smell out of our carpet. Our carpet downstairs is brand new so that makes it that much more infuriating. I think I finally found a spray that works though if you're looking. It's called anti icky poo (ha!) and I found it on Amazon. It seems to really get the smell out and keep it out. Until they pee on it again of course .... :/
Back at work after being off all last week. It sucks; I had major anxiety about it last night, and even dreamed about my classroom. The baby seems to be recovering from his surgery well; we go back on the 19th to check things out. He has a little button thing stitched down there that the doctor said would probably fall off on its own, and he also said there could be flaking/dry skin as the parts heal. He didn't mention the nasty black/green bruising and overall visual horror. Good thing the baby doesn't seem to mind!
One of my cats used to have a problem behaviorly when she was mad at me she'd pee outside the lutheran box. I used Dr Else's Cat Attract litter and she hasn't had a problem peeing elsewhere since I made the switch. Ancedote, I know. Now she only has a problem pooing elsewhere, but that is a psychological issue from a problem from her kittenhood compounded with a jerk brother of hers, but I can deal will her chosen spot. Pets make things harder right now, but I can deal with the short term inconvenience. With the cats anyway, if that dog doesn't calm down and stop knocking over the baby, I may change my mind.
Eta autocorrect apparently has a low opinion of my religion. Litter box, not Lutheran box
seamonster hope you got to see the doctor. kaydee0402 good luck if you start the job hunt! danitaec glad LO is recovering well, even if it's unattractive. Hope your day back to work has been good! kartish I laughed at Lutheran box
It just occurred to me I have nothing to cook for supper tonight. Oops. Better meal plan the rest of the week and get to the grocery tomorrow.
I didn't have anything planned either. Luckily MIL called and said she would fix meatloaf for us if we would bring the baby over. I'm currently snuggling a sleeping S in her recliner waiting on H to get off work.

Hiiiii! Presumably Reno will be done in two weeks. He's got two and about four more ready to sprout at any second!
