Why my kid is crying

I don't think we've done one of these for a while...

DD'S latest:

Because it's time to get out of the bath. I have to drain the water first and then snatch her out in a sneak attack to keep her from either drowning herself or cracking her head on the tub in the full-blown tantrum that ensues.

Because she wants to go "bye bye", then because she wants to go home.

Because I leave her at the sitter's and then because I pick her up and make her go home.

We are at the "nothing you do is right" stage.

Because the star shaped puzzle piece won't fit in the circle hole.

Because I asked her if she wanted a banana.

Because I wouldn't let her climb into the fountain at the mall.

Because she wants to eat.
Because there's nothing "good" to eat.
Because I won't let her play in the cat food.
Because I won't let her pull the cat's tail so he'll meow.

Because when she held her arms up for me to pick her up I picked her up.

Because I took the dog food out of her mouth.

Because I won't let her eat a 5th clementine

Because I won't put "momo" aka Elmo on the minute she wakes up

This morning:

Because I was trying to get my stuff together so we could leave (no idea what he wanted other than to be attached to me).
Because I tried to help him walk down the steps into the garage and he wanted to crawl down.
Because I left him at daycare. Even though he enjoys it there and loves his teachers. He usually doesn't cry for too long though.

Oh and fiveohfive - we are obsessed with Elmo as well. I'm still not really sure where he got it from since we never watched Sesame Street.

fiveohfive dd is obsessed with clementines too. Since she first discovered them back in Novemeber, she begs for them constantly all day and we have to limit how much she can eat. I think this is part of why she always wants to go "bye bye". When we go to whole foods for groceries, they let all the kids pick out a free peice of fruit, so she always gets a clementine.

Because I won't allow her to launch herself off the back of the couch.

Because I won't let her stick her hand in an open hot oven.

Because she wants to spill her water all over the floor and then play in it and Mommy said no.

smilingeyes DD loves to launch herself off the couch too. Queue histerics. lol

I posted this on another board but last week DD cried b/c I wouldn't give her more medicine.

There are constant fits these days. it's totally exhausting. This morning she cried b/c I wouldn't call grandma/grandpa at 7am, before work. Sorry kid, nobody is up for that that early.

Because I won't open the fridge for her

Because she wants to go outside but that it requires getting dressed.

Because I wouldn't let him drag my keys across the hallway walls in our apartment complex.

Because he wanted to go for a walk and I wouldn't carry him the whole way.

Because I wouldn't let him chew on an ink cartridge for the printer.

It was time to go to bed.
It was time to get out of the bath.
The dog snap at him because he hit the dog in his face.
It's 3am.
He is in his car seat.

Because I wouldn't let her slam on the computer keyboard as I was trying to pay a bill online.

Because I don't make her a snowball every single time we go outside.

Because I wouldn't give her a 3rd clementine (she just renewed a love of clementines too!)
Because her cup kept falling of the step stool when she carried it around.
Because I sat on the floor to play with her instead of picking her up.
Because I put her in the car seat after day care.
Because I won't hold her 24-7.
Because I changed her when she spilled water a down her front.
Because I work out and don't give her my full attention doe 25-30 minutes.

She does an annoying whine a lot more than full blown cries and it makes me want to jump out of a window.

Because I locked the front door so that she couldn't open it.

It's been a long day...
