For boys names I love James. It was actually L's grandfather's name too but she doesn't want to use it since one of her cousins named their boy James. Although we don't even have contact with them really because they are crazy religious and aren't ok with the gay thing but oh well. Luckily the rest of L's family isn't like that.
I thought of John for last baby after my Dad but I decided it was too hard to name a child after him. Not because he was a bad father but because it was too emotional for me if that makes sense. He passed away 6 years ago.
For girls L likes Katherine Ellen
I can't do Katherine because I briefly dated a Katherine but L seems to keep forgetting that. I like Ellen pretty well but still unsure.
Some girl names I used to like but probably wouldn't have actually used are:
daphne (love the name but sounds too close to daft) Brinley (love it but probably not traditional enough for our tastes.
Also like Claire
I guess we need to start thinking of names more. With C we had 3 picked out and settled on one after she was born.
Well since we finally decided on a name for our son (you know, like 15 minutes before we left the hospital), I can actually just list the other names that made our list: Maxwell Milo Solomon Rudy Spencer Evan (this is what I secretly called Gideon the entire time I was pregnant, but S vetoed it early on) Graham August Theodore Jonah Lucian Oscar Garrett Emmett Simon Ezra Isaac Gavin Remy Wesley Nathaniel Felix Isaiah Sebastian Griffin Cameron Judah
As you can see, we have a really hard time narrowing things down. I'll go back and see if I can find out list of potential girls' names from way back before we knew ...
Girls' names (S never even saw this list): Sylvia Nina Edith Adele (Mom's middle names, but it's too popular now) Elise Clara Carys Sybil Keira Charlotte (would have been off the table due to British royalty) Isla Shannon

I love Shannon after my aunt that passed but it got vetoed for r's middle name bc the whole name was wayyyyy too Irish. Also dw got to choose boys name and I was choosing if girl. Now that it's my turn to choose 2nd child I'm really leaning toward it for middle name girl or using version of it- Shane? For boy (1st name).
August is my top boy name. and DS's middle. Reagan- since Im old- is the girls name in the Excorcist, so no, it was too traumatizing for me, though I love the name. I personally love Jasper Theo is a great one, but there are several within a few blocks of here. I am not Russian in the slightest, but I do like Alexander, with Sasha being a common baby name for Alex for boys.

Alexander would have been high on my list, but I only have 2 first cousins and only one of them has kids. His daughter's name is Alexandra. So way too close in our tiny tiny family.

Just came across an article with 20 old Victorian names. I loved them all. My personal favorite Ottilie, especially since Olive is one of our tips names but a bit popular right now.
