I didn't sleep well last night. My DS woke up crying a few times, which is rare. I'm enjoying being here with my parents while DH is away, but also ready to get back home on Tuesday so things seem more normal again.

Happy Saturday morning everyone! I'm working all weekend, but I think DH and I are going to go watch the new Bond film tonight. We always love a little 007 action!
Trying to catch up on yesterday because I was down for the count. Slept like crap last night. Was up ever hour because I either felt like I was going to puke or had to poop. Seriously body out of both ends is not cool. I know gross lol.
On a positive not DH finally has a few days off! Haven't really seen him in over 2 weeks. DS is so excited & it's like I don't exist right now. I'm ok with it though since I'm laying on the floor feeling super crappy. Hopefully I can get out of this funk soon.
Night 1 without the pacifier for DS was a surprising success! DS cried for about 10 minutes, then fell asleep and STTN until he woke up at 6. I call that a win!

We actually had better sleep post pacifier. No more waking up when it fell out. Hopefully the rest of your weekend sleep goes well!
I am getting ready to go for a run right now. Then off to a birthday party. Then hopefully some homework. It is 32 out and running outside sounds pretty terrible. I have high hopes it will help with the nausea.
MIL called last night to ask DH if we had names picked out. When he asked what she needed a name for, she said she needed to add it to her prayer list. We are at 8 weeks, we don't even have a sex yet (and won't for months). I'm pretty sure God will still know who you are talking about. Then DH is annoyed because neither of us are religious, and he's had a lifetime of her being super pushy about religion. She is literally one of those, "I pray you find religion because I am sad you won't be with me in heaven" people.

THIS is what I need to do! I haven't been for a run in 3 weeks But I've been feeling a bit better the past few days (I feel like I may be jinxing myself by saying that) and we're having an unseasonable heat wave in New England, so I really have no excuses. I'm making a promise that I'll go either this evening or tomorrow evening. The darkness kills my motivation - I just need to get over that like I do every other year at this time of year. No more pregnancy pity parties for me!

ha I think that is funny she needs an actual name for the prayer list...

My DH's family is totally like this. We're both solidly agnostic/bordering on atheistic, but I just go with the flow and accept his family's prayers because I know it's their way of being supportive. I know that they also pray for us to "find Jesus" and probably judged us for living together in sin for several years before we were married. Haha, at least this pregnancy was conceived in wedlock! We were NTNP for about a year before we were married though.
DH's band is playing this afternoon at a local bar, so I am pretty excited to see him! He has been playing with this group for about two months and today is their first performance!
My plan is to relax today and tomorrow we're having a birthday party for DH at my in laws house & we're planning on telling his siblings we're expecting. My SILs are my best friends so I've really been wanting for them to know.

Definite win! DS cried for 45+ minutes that night!! And sleep has been worse since! Congrats!

this band is rock, so a lot of hard metal sounds which is super fun for him (he is on guitar). He grew up mainly playing piano so played a lot of classical - a rock band is definitely something different!
We have no set plans this weekend which I'm happy about. DS has a little bit of a cold so I think we will take it easy. I need to find a nice park spot for DS's birthday party in a couple of weeks. We are just having a little party with close family, think it's the last year I can get away with that!
My 2nd interview went really well yesterday, I still have to meet with the VP (he's on vacation) but the manager and director pretty much said it was a formality. So I might just have a new job!
For dinner last night I had popcorn and hot chocolate. DS had popcorn and yogurt. No shame.
Yeah, sometimes when I have to read it to a student I'll answer questions in my head. Then I'll get to one I don't know and am so glad it doesn't matter!

How old is your DS? Mine is 14 months and I'm dreading taking it away. I hope I have as much success as you.
Today I learned how to knit without looking so I could watch a movie with subtitles. I'm obviously very cultured. That, or Netflix suggested I'd enjoy the Bollywood remake of that Tom Cruise/Cameron Diaz Movie Knight and Day, starring a guy who has ab muscles I had no idea even existed. So it was either learn Hindi and imagine the muscles, or figured out how to knit by feel.
