As most of you know...baby turned breech at 38+ weeks and I attempted a version. They tried two times with an epidural in place and his heart decelerated, so that was the end of that! The nurses rushed in and gave me oxygen and turned me on my side while my H got suited up to go to the OR. I was super bummed the version didn't work and my OB knew that, so he spent the next 10 minutes talking to me and letting me know I had done everything I could have and that a c-section was the best option.
I had a natural birth the first time, so I was nervous, but they looped me up with Morphine and turned my epidural into a spinal. I didn't feel a darn thing, but kept falling asleep during surgery. It was the weirdest feeling to be so numb and out of it.
Riley was born at 12:28 p.m. on November 1. He was 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 20.5 in. We are so in love and he is the best baby! I don't know how I got blessed with two good babies.
He is nursing like a champ and his sister just adores him!!
Recovery has been surprisingly good and I've only taken Ibuprofen for pain (I have a high tolerance). It's only been a week and I am pretty much back to normal with exception to the pp bleeding and incision, which is also healing quite well.
