Hi mommas! I'm yellowreflector. My SAH story is interesting. My DD was born with several health issues which we didn't know about before birth, and by the end of my mat leave we had been told that she would not have a long life and it was very doom and gloom.
So DH and I worked it our with our amazing jobs to each alternate working from home and in the office. Long story short, I ended up leaving my job when she was a year old and she will be 3 in a couple of weeks! Still a lot of doom but a bit less gloom now. We just take it day by day.
But just like most of you I love coffee, and peeing alone. Oh and beer.
Hi! I'm from Australia. Since H and I got engaged, I wanted nothing more than to have a baby. Unfortunately it took us longer than we expected and we ended up doing Ivf to conceive our now 7 month old DD. I'm absolutely loving staying at home with her and while I know some (most) days will be hard, I'd like to have another baby soon.
I'm a big procrastinator. I know I should be doing things like housework and exercise while DD sleeps but I usually end up watching Dr Phil and doing silly little craft projects instead!
Hi! DD is almost 8 months old and I am a FTM so finally used to being a SAHM now. I love it and wouldn't change it. DH and I are considering TTC but aren't 100% sure. We need to decide if he is going to make his current job a career or not in order to feel financial secure with having two kids. We are from Cali and have lived in a few other states, but currently are in Florida. Really miss the West Coast! Anyways, glad that I can join in here!

I'm also a lurker from TB but want to be more active, so hello! Im Mrs. butterworth, just like the syrup, and I've been married to DH nearly 3 years come February. We have two beautiful children, DD who is 16 months and DS who is 1 month. DD is a very energetic, observant, persistent, nurturing little girl. She loves singing, dancing, climbing, new adventures, and helping out with her new baby brother. DS is the most patient baby ever, thank goodness. He is calm and only cries out when hungry or gassy.
I'd love to hear thoughts on how to keep myself sane with 2U2 and how I can entertain my energetic daughter while taking care of DS.
Hi all! I'm a SAHM to our 6.5 month old little boy. I absolutely love it and dread leaving him to return to work one day. I'm married to my high school sweetheart. I love just about anything outdoors.
Hi! Another lurker from the TB. I'm a SAHM to my adorable 2 month old boy.
Formerly taught 7th grade Social Studies and thinking about occasionally subbing next year. My husband and I have been married for four years. I enjoy cooking and reading and watching lots if HGTV.
Hi! I'm Auri and my dd is 18 months and very active! I wasn't really a lurker on the SAHM board, but I did lurk around a couple of the other boards thinking it was too late to join until we start tfas. Then everything went down at the other place and a lot of people jumped ship to here and I thought what the heck, now seems a good a time as any to jump in! So here I am. Let's see...I'm a pretty much a nerd. I'm a gamer ( both pc and board games), a musician, love to read, and play with dd. Nice to meet everyone.
Hii! I'm cattuccino - lover of coffee and cats (surprise there, eh?) I'm Canadian, SAHM to my 11 month old DD. Usually frequent F14 and parenting but would like to talk to some more SAHMs too! Some days are tough! Nice to meet you all!
Nice to meet you all! I love that everyone loves coffee. It's like a job requirement.
I've been at home with my daughter since August 2012. We have another little girl due in April. I'm really excited to have two kids, but also terrified!
Hi everyone! I frequent May14 but would like to participate here as well. I'm a FTM. I taught kindergarten for 3 years but Now I stay home. I have a little girl who is 8 months. She was born on her due date May 13th. She is growing way too fast! I met my husband while finishing up school and 9 months later we were married. We have been married for 3 1/2 years. We also have a Morkie named Bruiser.
I can be pretty shy but I'm trying to put myself out there more. We recently started going to the library and little swimmers to get to know other moms and kiddos in our area. I love anything crafty! Hmm I think that's about it. It's nice meeting all of you and I'm looking forward to participating!
Hello. I posted very briefly on the SAHM board on TB quite some time ago, but just after I started there, life threw a curveball. I trickled down to a couple of boards, then have pretty much just been on the SNs board for a while now. As I now start to faintly see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel, hopefully I will soon be able to be more involved again.
I have a 3yo little guy who is so much fun to spend my days with. I work a touch here and there if I am needed, but it is pretty rare.
I like being outdoors, working on a variety of projects, baking, etc - I am kind of all over in my interests.
I'm new here. I was on the other SAHM board for a few years but decided to come over here. I'll update my pic when I get on the PC.
I'm Caybeh. I have two kids. E will be 3 in Mar and A is 5.5 months. I've been a SAHM since E was born. My husband and I have been married for six years.
I love chocolate, Downton Abby, and Gilmore Girls.

Penguin here! Before becoming a SAHM I was a teacher. Between teaching K and 2nd, 2nd was my fav and I hope to teach it again when I return to the classroom. I'm keeping my certs current. I've been married to DH for 3 years (in 2 weeks) and we have a beautiful 18 month old daughter. I love Grey's and can't wait for it to come back. I'm currently watching House and thought of watching Gilmore Girls because I love the actress who plays Sarah on Parenthood.

Hi all! I'm Lauren aND I've been on the dec.14 board since conceiving, new to SAHM since my son is only 3.5 weeks! I read a lot and love wine, I'm so glad I can indulge more now. I'm currently almost exclusively pumping, due to latch and supply issues. It's the hardest commitment I've ever made. I'm hoping to make it 6 months. We'll see!
Hellooom, I'm Gwapes. I have a 2 yr old, Dh and I married for 7 yrs.. I work from home part time, but still hang out with the SAHMs. And I just took a break from Grad school, hoping to go back in the Fall, we'll see.
I love Coffee, online gaming, crocheting and other crafty stuff.

Sup?? Been a SAHM for 8ish months now. S will be 8 months on Wednesday (holy crapola)!! She is a stubborn little girl who hates sleep and likes to move! She's trying to stand on her own and is getting darn good at it!
Former teacher - Kindergarten and 2nd grade. I miss it a little but not as much as I expected. I was a poster on May 14 and started posting on SAHM before shit went down there and then I got distracted and confused so I left. Came back to find a bigger shit storm so I came here. ?
I love HP, wine, coffee, my bulldog and chocolate/ice cream. I'm currently trying to not go crazy in the winter of the Midwest. I think that covers it?

Hi! I'm secondaryPULSE. Never really posted on the SAHM board on TB. I found myself a SAHM after my family attempted to relocate to Costa Rica and it didn't work out. That's a long story...
Anyways, I'm currently pregnant (due in April) with our third. My older two are 3.5 yrs and 23 months. DH and I have been married for 3 years, together for 5. Before becoming a SAHM I worked as a well mom/baby/pediatric home visit RN. I'm still adjusting to home life with the kids. I like knitting, reading, cooking/baking, and outdoorsy things (hiking, namely).
The future is uncertain regarding whether I'll be staying home. Prior to our ventures in CR, DH was a SAHD. He's doing what he can to make it possible for me to stay home after this baby arrives. I'm really enjoying it, so I really hope it works out.
Hi! I'm Harmy. My DS is 6 months old. I was nannying but decided to stay at home when I had DS. Still adjusting to being home all the time. I'm currently looking for a local mommy group but I'm a little nervous to join!
I enjoy couponing and football! Looking forward to getting to know all of you ladies!

How did I miss this post? Oops! I've been spending all my time on Parenting
I'm Beatrice, Betty for short, and I truly do love to bake! I have two kids, both school-aged and have been at home for about 8 years now. I also garden, write, take adult ballet dance classes and volunteer my baking/cooking talents to Meals-on-Wheels and our local shelters.
Amelandre speaking. I have a 19mo son and a bun in the oven (due In May). Also have a hyperactive mutt, a sneaky bastard cat, and a bearded chef for a husband. I've been staying at home since DS was born. I sell jewelry on Etsy and at local craft shows and a couple gift shops. In my working life I was a bar-tending menace.

Hello everyone I'm Razztazztic, just call me Razz!, I am a SAHM to my 13 month old DS and have been married for 3 years to my firefighter husband. I both love and hate his schedule being at home for 24 hours is hard, yo. But I'm thankful I get to stay with my little man. I used to be an avid runner but pregnancy and laziness...and wine got in the way but I'm looking to get my ass back in it! I'm excited to get to know you ladies.

Hello! I too am from TB, I was babybell22.
My DD is 6 months old and I have been enjoying being a SAHM. My DH and I have been together for 8 years and married for 4.5yrs. We are gearing up for a move in the next year so I feel like every waking moment that I'm not entertaining DD I'm budgeting, working on our current house to get ready to sell and researching areas. DH got a job in a neighboring town and commutes 40 minutes now. Because we are in MI his commute is over 2 hours when the snow comes
I love Harry Potter, reading, movies, traveling, The Big Bang Theory and singing. We have one cat and two dogs. And we are the crazy people who are already talking about number two

Hello! I'm Sara. I have a 15yr old DS, a 15m old DD and another DD due in May. I became a SAHM when my oldest was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 9. I never posted on SAHM on the bump but I lurked a bit before the original exodus. I like good beer and the beach.
Post by lavendergiraffes on Jan 19, 2015 15:20:13 GMT -5
silentsara just wanted to comiserate about your daughters diabetes. My dh and his sister both have type one (she passed almost three years ago). I hate this disease and I'm praying it doesn't get passed to S. It's my worst fear! Hugs!
I did not regularly post on SAHM over there. I lurked a bit before the Oct shit went down and then have lurked a bit since. I was active on the toddler boards, baby names, and my bmb. I have DD (she will be 4 next week), DS is 2, and #3 is due in July. I used to be a travel agent but have been home since DD was born.
She also has a speech delay and has been in speech therapy since 17 months. She has made huge progress since starting preschool last year.

Thanks. Its my son that has it, I pray everyday the girls won't get it. He's had it for almost six years and does pretty well. He's on an insulin pump and a CGM now so that def helps. I'm sorry for the loss of your SIL.

Hi! My name is Ashley and I am a SaHM to one DD who is 6 months old. I have struggled with the transition to being at home. I think I am going to stick with it until my kiddos are in school but sometimes it feels like I have a baby attached to me all the time and don't ever have time for myself. It has defiantly been a struggle to work out the division of responsibilities. I am curious what everyone else's division is like
I've never really posted on the SAHM boards but have been a regular on November13 since my pregnancy. Hope it's alright if I join y'all! I SAH with Bradley, who's 13 months. DH is a Navy pilot and we're currently stationed in FL, where I'm from. We have been married for 3 years and also have a yellow lab.
In my previous (working) life I was an interior designer, and I love design and doing projects around the house. Other than that, I love to read and am in a book club, am a huge college football fan (Go Gators!) and enjoy being active with my family. Guilty pleasures include The Bachelor and Chrisley Knows Best.
Looking forward to getting to know y'all and participating here.
