Hello! I was a reg on SAHM pre-exodus. I was a SAHM to my dd for 18 months and then I went back to work as a teacher.
DD will be 2 next week. DH and I have been married for 4 years. Umm... Sorry I'm terrible at intros and can't think of anything remotely interesting about myself.

Hi. My name's Holly. I am a FTM anxiously awaiting the arrival of our son. My EDD is Feb. 6th, so he could be here at any time.
I spent the last 7 years working for an after school program for underprivileged youth. I started as a volunteer when I was in college. DH and I just moved back to his home town in June. I'm a little nervous about staying at home full time, this is the first time I haven't had a job since I was 16.
silentsara just wanted to comiserate about your daughters diabetes. My dh and his sister both have type one (she passed almost three years ago). I hate this disease and I'm praying it doesn't get passed to S. It's my worst fear! Hugs!
Thanks. Its my son that has it, I pray everyday the girls won't get it. He's had it for almost six years and does pretty well. He's on an insulin pump and a CGM now so that def helps. I'm sorry for the loss of your SIL.
Oh duh. I have distracted mommy syndrome - I saw ds and thought, "my dd's name starts with an s so that must mean girl". Ugh.
And thank you, she had all kinds of other things to go along with it - epilepsy, osteoporosis, neuropathy - most of it caused by the diabetes but she was a medical mystery. She seemed to get anything and everything.
I wish my dh would get an insulin pump! He's so stubborn but he's pretty good at keeping his bs regulated so whatever works for him I guess. Glad to know there's someone here for support if needed!!
Hi everyone! I'm a SAHM to DD (7), DS (3), and soon baby #3. I've been on and off TK/TN/TB since before DH and I got engaged in 2003, so I'm a n00b here but old as dirt over there. I like reading (especially history/historical fiction), photography, cooking when I'm not super pregnant, wine, coffee, all the things. I spent most of my adult life in grad school before having kids so I made the transition from not having a regular job but always having something I should do to...not having a regular job but always having something I should do. I like it, though.
I wasn't a SAHM reg on TB. The baby name board is my hangout. Fun fact: I am obsessed with baby names but we have no idea what to name this baby that is about to happen!
I'm JamJ! I have 2 girls (3.5 years and 5 months). I love baking, makeup, and the Internet of course. I have been a SAHM for about 6 months now. I love being home with the girls although I miss getting dressed up every day. I can't jusitfy heels and a dress to change diapers and change kids.
Hello Hello Hello everyone! I am Kale and a SAHM to two. My daughter K will be 3 in March, and my son L was just born in September. I have been a SAHM since K was born. I normally only get to post when they are asleep.
DH and I will have been together for 10 years this year, and married for 7. We operate a family farm where we raise cattle, and hogs, and grow corn, soybeans, wheat, and alfalfa. My role is feeding all the baby calves, book work, and feeding our farm hands in our busy seasons. A few of my favorite things are chocolate, any of the real housewives series, dr. Pepper, and pasta. I look forward to the growth of this board, and getting to be a part of it!

Ah my H and I dream of having a farm one day. You're living my dream! My daughter was born in Sept as well and RH is my guilty pleasure.

We can totally be twinsies! I'd rather be twins than single white female type situation! JK The Sept board is getting up and going if you ever want to check it out. Do you have a favorite RH? Mine would probably be ATL. Thanks for the shout out!

I am a SAHM to an 8 and 6 year old and 9 month old. I was a regular on the bump until I was ousted in October. I am now a regular on the SAHM group on GBCN.
I too am also binge watching Gilmore girls on Netflix. I have been home for almost 9 years now but plan to start subbing next year and work my way back into a school.
Hi! My name is Ashley and I am a SaHM to one DD who is 6 months old. I have struggled with the transition to being at home. I think I am going to stick with it until my kiddos are in school but sometimes it feels like I have a baby attached to me all the time and don't ever have time for myself. It has defiantly been a struggle to work out the division of responsibilities. I am curious what everyone else's division is like
Howdy from fellow July 14 mom! I too struggled and still think I am in some ways. At first I tried to take on all of the house work because I felt like it was my "job". I felt like it was the way to even out that DH was at work all day and I was at home. I constantly felt like I was drowning in house work. DD doesn't take long naps and so I never can get anything done during the day besides showering and feeding myself. At first I just expected DH to know that I needed help and to know what I needed him to do. Needless to say DH wanted to come home and play with DD and then sit and relax. After a long discussion he explained that all I needed to do was ask. So now when we finish dinner I ask him do you want to load or unload the dishwasher. He picks one and I do the other. We do this for most household chores. It has helped a ton! I don't feel as overwhelmed and DH understands that I can't do it all. He knows my only job is to take care of our DD and anything else I get to is just a bonus. We try to get most of the household stuff done during the week that way we have the weekends to relax and play with DD. I know that when I get her naps to last longer than 30 minutes I will be able to take on more things but right now it is what it is.

Hi! I'm Christie. Im new to PB. I'm due March 9th and I'll be a SAHM. I'm looking forward to learning all I can from btdt moms and being a contributing member of the community. I'm still learning the new features, so I apologize in advance for my blunders!
Hi! I never posted on SAHM on TB but decided to jump in over here. I've mostly just stayed around my BMB. I have a DS who is almost one year and I've been staying at home since he was born. I worked in retail previously.
I love cherry coke, chinese food, Gilmore Girls, and Friends. You can kind of see what my life entails after DS goes to bed from that description haha. After bedtime, Couch=love.
We aren't currently TTC but plan to start next fall. Ummmm, thats all I've got.

Hi everyone! Like some others, I didn't post on sahms on TB, just my bmb and the baby names board (and had even drifted from those in the past month or two) but I figured it would try and jump in here. I have two boys, ages 2.5 and 9 months. Dh and I have been together coming on 6 years and I have been a sahm since my oldest was born. Before that I was a teacher but ever since I was little I've wanted to be a sahm.
I'm too busy/lame for many hobbies. Before kids I liked travelling, dance, skiing, camping, outdoor sports etc. Now my interests include reading, couponing, Netflix, and car seat safety.
HI!! I'm a stay at home mom to DD who is 3 and we have another baby on the way in June! DD was born with a cleft lip and has speech delay but has been in speech awhile and we have seen great progress. I'm so proud of her. She works so hard and is so patient.
I love cooking, photography, reading, sewing and crafts in general. I also love a good glass of wine (or hey a margarita would be nice too!!). My fav TV shows are Gilmore Girls & White Collar, but I don't watch very much TV.
Hi All! I am a SAHM to 2 boys (2.5 & 15m) and due with a baby girl in the beginning of March! I have SAH since DH started his current job 4 yrs ago, because of his work schedule and how often we move it did make since to work. We love being outside, in the summer months we camp and hike, but MN winters are too cold to do much outside. I enjoy sewing, photography, and wine (when I am not pregnant).
Hi there! I'm a FTM and SAHM to our sweet baby girl who was also born in September. I'm still settling into the SAHM role, but I wouldn't trade this time with baby for anything! When I'm not changing diapers or nursing and cuddling a baby, I enjoy reading, Netflix, and getting out to the barn to ride my horse! I'm also an Army wife, but my hubby is currently in business school (on the Army's dime! What, what!). So, this was the perfect time to start our little family.
I also am trying to get my butt in gear and get the remainder of this baby weight off. My husband is a crossfit convert and talked me into taking the gym's bootcamp classes. So far, so good, but I'm more of a swimmer/yogi kinda girl!

We are twins?. It wasn't so bad when she was little I could put her down and get stuff done. Now she's mobile unless I am wearing her nothing gets done because as soon as I am out of her view the tears start. I have tried to talk to my husband but nothing has changed. He sees staying at home as easy and that its my job to be a homemaker. If he only knew. I guess I need to find a way for him to see it. I asked him to help with dishes only on Weekends and he has yet to do it. It's putting a lot of strain on our relationship
Hey all! I'm a SAHM of DD and DS - 19months and almost 6months - and one baby girl in heaven. DH and I've been married 2.5 years, and he's currently working on his Ph.D. Looking forward to being at least a little active on here in my spare time :-)
barnabee yeah they keep it interesting with all the drama. I feel bad for Phaedra this year, she is one of my favorites. I'm also team Porscha, she is another one I really like. The next episode looks really good! I also used to really like Jersey but it was just ahhh this season. I couldn't really get super excited to watch them like I used to.

I'm starsweeper -- FTM and SAHM to (almost) 7 month old DD. I am very much enjoying staying at home with her. Never a dull moment! I never posted on this board on the old site, but lurked from time to time. I mostly check in with the June14 and cloth diapering boards. In my "spare" time, I enjoy cooking and reading. Hopefully I can be part of the SAHM board, too!
Hi! I migrated over here from TB but never posted on the SAHM board but want to be more active over here! I have a son who will be 7 months soon and I love being able to spend so much time with him. I love spending time outside, hanging out with friend, baking, and wine, I really love wine. I look forward to talking with you all.

Hi! I was lurking the SAHM board over at TB for the last couple of weeks before everything burned down (apparently for the second time). And I figured now is as good a time as any to intro.
DH and I have been married for 5 years and I'm due March 9th with a boy. I quit work in December. I was a college math instructor and I may go back part time in a few years, but I'm looking forward to being at home with my LO.
Before getting pregnant I enjoyed wine, baking, and running and I'm hoping I can get back into those after the LO arrives.

Hello all! I decided to jump in here on this board, I was never active on it on the bump. I have one dd who is 10.5 months as well as 2 crazy dogs who keep me busy. I work retail one day a week as a chance to get out but I may just give it up soon. I'm looking forward to summer so we can get out more, winter in Ohio sucks. Nothing too interesting about me, I've been with my husband for 8 years and married 2.5 and we just recently bought what will hopefully be our forever home!

I'm an older FTM to a 16 month old boy. Although he drives me nuts at times, he is a sweet generally easygoing kid. In my previous life, I worked for non-profits. Married for 3 years. We also have an old mutt who thankfully does not object to my toddler pulling her ears and trying to poke her in the eye. I'm an East Coaster. I love to read (and sometimes I manage to read things other than books on toddlers, etc.). Was also recently hooked on the Serial podcast. I have good weeks and bad weeks with this stay at home thing. Some weeks I enjoy it. Other weeks I question whether it's a fit for me. I have a hard time with the whining (among other things).
Hi ladies. I'm a 34 year old SAHM to two boys, ages 3 and 10 months. I've been home for about two and a half years and love it. Previously I was a middle manager working in communications for large-ish nonprofit organizations. I was an art major in college, so writing and development work was never my calling but it paid the bills and was satisfying for the decade that I worked.
I love working on home improvement and decorating projects, painting, drawing, sewing, cooking (when I can have a glass of wine and am not being fussed at the entire time), seeing live music, and city life. I enjoy Belgian beer, Hawaii, ice cream, cocktails (esp a proper Old Fashioned or Pimms Cup), and throwing great parties.
DH and I have been married for almost ten years, we met in college when we were 18.
