Since we are on a new board. Update! and Question.

I am going to start fresh here since, well all that craziness over "there" is just nuts.

My name is Autumn
Mom to 3 kids, one angel baby and baby number 5 en route!

Tristan (my belly bud) was diagnosed with Echogenic Bowels and Clubbed foot ( requiring something after birth either surgery or bracing)

Was diagnosed in the level 2 with the same and an additional spot near his stomach.

We (hubs and I) are patiently waiting for our next ultrasound to see when belly bud will be joining us. But we are due May 4th.


Which brings me to my question, I am 24 +3 and have an AP. I have been feeling a popping sensation under my belly button (which is where my placenta is located), It is not pain full, just more of a WHAT THE EFF shock. Which in turn leads to cramping.

Anyone experience this? Should I be concerned??

It is hard to say,I dont think it is concerning and remember your placenta will move to where it was a few weeks ago wont be where it is now. So baby could be kicking you there :-) good luck

Sounds like kicking to me. And since the baby is kicking the placenta, it could cause some contracting. It should be harmless unless they start getting very painful.

Hmmm maybe it's due to your organs trying to move out of the way of each other? If it's frequent and alarming, I would call your doc's office nurse line though.

I was thinking it was just kicking/elbows but it's a pop. Like if you pop your jaw or wrist. Not painful just random. The cramping happens for a moment after but not to bad. And he is DEFINITELY moving in there lol. As soon as I sat down he went nuts!

If it feels like it's tensing up (even tensing up for a second, release, tense, release, etc.), but with no pain, it's probably braxton hicks contractions

I've been having BH for a while now unfortunately for me now they are watching me since I have a history of preterm .. I'll just take this as growing pains. Thanks y'all

I had an anterior placenta with my first pregnancy, and with this one both placentas are anterior. Both times, when I first started feeling movement, I described it as similar to popping popcorn. Maybe you're just feeling movement?

I'm not super worried about the clubbed foot. His sister had a minor one that worked itself out. But his is major not surgery major that they know of. But way worse than his sisters.

I have been feeling movement everywhere but where my placenta is. It could be that. I've never had an AP. So this is a new one for me

I don't have an AP but I have felt something like the "pops" you described. They don't happen a lot but it's always when he's been moving around a lot. I wonder if he gets caught on himself (with my akward clumsy self for a mom I wouldn't be surprised) and then sort of pops back into moving. Like a finger snap. It might be more jarring to you since your AP may get in the way of feeling the smaller movements that might accompany it.

I know what you mean- it's a little alarming!
