City plows came at 3:30am and 4:30am to clear the sidewalks. It's been 48 hours since the storm ended. I wanted to kill them. Of course, they woke Evan up and I couldn't get back to sleep when I finally got him back down. Today is gonna be a long day.

Yo!
Hope you and E can have an early bedtime tonight! Plows suck.
I have a mommy/daughter hair appointment and date planned with dd1. She's getting a trim and I'm getting my roots touched up. We're going to dinner afterwards and then clothes shopping.
I've got volleyball tonight and then dh and I will be catching up on all of our shows.
We got about half an inch of snow last night and into this morning. I was nervous about getting hit by a plow on my run but apparently the town isn't plowing, so no worries...? That normally wouldn't worry me, but there's ice under there from earlier this week.
Should be a fun drive in.
DH seems to be on the mend so it's time to check on C. I felt like the worst Mom ever when I found poop up to his neck last night. I was so unprepared, it ended up everywhere. PLEASE let him be, ahem, "normal" today.
Good morning! Hannah woke me up a little before my alarm this morning. I do not want to get out of bed today. I am so glad it's Friday because I am ready for the weekend.
I am pretty sure I just drank some slightly off juice that I knew I should've refrigerated but didn't. Now I'm fighting the urge to puke.
My tattoo artist hit me up yesterday for me to come in today at 4 to measure my arm so she can start the design on my nightmare before Christmas half sleeve. I'm really excited to see her put my idea to paper and then eventually my arm. I think I've decided to proceed with this tattoo after taxes with the encouragement of K. I'm just doing one small idea first. I may be pussying out of my foot for a bit. I've gone through childbirth and a broken ass bit I'm scurrred of a foot tattoo, yup, ok.
Sorry for the snow people waking up E @ljgs
@kama take me out on a date next. You know how to treat a lady
Don't feel bad JoeLies that happens to everyone. And it will happen more than once. FX today is better

mishkaroni -- so jealous that you are working on a tattoo. I want a new one and have some ideas, but this one will be big. I've been slow to devote the time to it. I just want my ideas to magically appear on my shoulder.
Besides, I don't have a regular artist. It's been 10 years since my last. I went to the convention here in boston a few years back and found an artist that I like, but still a little shy about moving forward.

Sorry so long. Can we see pics when it's done?
Between my first two tattoos and the spree I went on before Ava, there was 10 years of nothing. I have only gone to the one shop. Both artists have been female but the first one is at another so now. I love my artist so much. Actually we are going to hang out at the zoo. So she's more than my artist at this point. You should definitely shop around and find an artist who you click with. I think that makes the experience better.
I will, of course, share pics. I'm beyond excited about this. K has really been egging it on. I always felt I was too broad shouldered to pull it off and still look feminine but you only live once and if I don't do this idea, I know I'll regret it. I wish I could start getting it inked already but the fact that we ate designing it is enough for now. Gaaahhh#!!
I don't have any tattoos but would be way more afraid to get one on my foot than to give birth again. It sounds painful!
Why thank you! !
I have a tattoo on pretty much all the "painful" places and only winced for one. It's such a good pain. But I have the boniest foot. I start to sweat thinking about it. Lol. I had an easy labor so I guess I shouldn't use that. Plus, epidural. Man, if I could get an epidural and then my foot tattoo, that would be awesome. I think I'll wait until my kid is old enough to fetch me stuff.

Morning.
Kama that day date sounds so sweet, have fun!
Sending coffee vibes to all you early risers, I'm starting to drink coffee regularly now myself- used to be more of a tea girl.
I have a play date tomorrow morning (from the thread) and then my MIL is coming to watch B so DH and I can paint the living room ceiling! We've been putting this off for a year now so I'm excited to get it done. Plus we finally pulled the trigger on new light fixtures for the room so I'm excited when those show up the ceiling will be ready!
I thought we were going to our friends house for the Super Bowl because they hosted the playoff games, but they just told us they decided not to....boo....better not ruin our mojo and now I think we're just watching at home.

Cold front went through last night. I think it is supposed to start raining soon. I want my warm Texas weather back. My head and neck are killing me, probably from sleeping in a weird position due to a bed-hogging baby. I'm looking forward to tonight's sleep because on Friday and Saturday nights I now make MH get up with her. I had a talk with Cadence's infant teachers yesterday at pick up. I pointed out to them that she isn't using words she use to have. I feel like she has stopped trying to say new words and just sticks with babbling. They said it was her new room. That her toddler teacher has the ability to regress these kids like no one else. They told me I should talk to the director about getting her moved up to the next toddler room. I know she isn't ready for that, so it really isn't an option. I'll talk to her toddler teacher today. She also has a super red butt. I feel like we get rid of the rash over the weekend and then she gets a new one during the week. We are also continually being told we are out of wipes and need to bring more. I think they must be using the wipes at every single diaper change and not just BMs, which would explain the irritation on her rear. Yet another thing to talk to her teacher about tonight. Sometimes I feel like a one woman work force with this child.

Sorry so long, I'm tired and tend to ramble.
How can a teacher "regress" a kid? Is Cadence working on a new skill? I've always read that when they're working on perfecting a new skill, ones they've already mastered will fall by the wayside for a bit, but then return once the new skill is mastered.
No idea as to how the teacher regresses them. The infant teachers were talking about how they had worked on getting them off pacis except for nap times and only using sippy cups for their transition into the toddler. Then once they got into toddler the teacher would let them have bottles again "if necessary" and they had their pacis back all the time, etc. I haven't seen any new skills that Cadence is working on. She has recently started running rather than walking. It isn't that she doesn't understand words I'm using, she seems to understand quite a bit. I can ask her to point to things in books and she can, etc. It could just be that during the day she isn't getting as much 1 on 1 as she did in the infant room since there are more kids, so she is just talking a back seat in class vocally, which wouldn't be a regression, just a new personality trait.
You guys, there is serious castle intrigue at my work right now. Like, big deal stuff that came out of nowhere. I just want to talk about it to everyone, but I can't.
Aww.... My little man woke up with a fever. He was fine last night! I'm flying out this morning for my weekend vacay. If I was anxious about leaving him before, I'm full on panicking now.
I offered DH to move my flight back so I could stay with him, but he convinced me it was all ok.
Tulsa is #3 in the nation for flu cases right now. I think it's his stomach virus back again, but called the doc to see if they want to flu swab him today as a precaution.
