kfran84 sorry he isn't feeling well! I second the others, hopefully it's teething. It's hard not to worry when they are sick but I'm sure your H will do a great job. I hope you enjoy your trip!
untaggablekatie - You should send her a condolence card for losing her damn mind.
klongoria11 - We have to keep reminding C's daycare about not giving him his paci except at naps, every time there's a new teacher or sub in the room. They follow the parents lead on that. Could you just hammer that bit home with the new teacher?
@mothereffer - C only takes a few steps at a time on his own before falling or grabbing for something. He's way more comfortable with it at home and seems to really shy away from walking solo at daycare. They'll get there.
mishkaroni - I'm really glad you're going to get your tattoo after all and it sounds really cool. Can't wait to see it as it progresses.
@mothereffer- there are a few 15 month babies at little gym who are still not walking, if that makes you feel any better. Their moms have said doctors aren't worried. He'll get it at his own pace.
Yay, I've finally made it to the daily before it's reached 7 pages!
Not happy about the circumstances that have allowed me to, though :/ ..found out at the doctor yesterday that L has roseola..womp. He'd had an on again off again fever for 4 days and then yesterday the rash started. I feel like suh a jerk for thinking he was just being a monster with teething. He's been beyond irritable and I've snapped a few times because of it
Last night was miserable. The doctor said we should be in the free and clear for fever but it's still been in the 101 range. He woke up all night and has been pretty inconsolable. At one point he woke up with a massive amount of diarrhea which NEVER happens. Poor guy is miserable.
This is the one morning of course that I have to get up early and go into work. It's a non student day, so I need to take advantage and go set my classroom up. Starbucks stop will be necessary.

tgrimes1980 I'm sorry Mara still isn't feeling well. Hopefully her meds will kick in soon. I think we were told it takes 3 days to notice a difference. I think weather-wise we just have to get through Feb. March will be nice....hopefully.
@mothereffer I wouldn't stress it too much. I know a few kids who didn't walk until closer to 18mo as well (my nephew included) and they are just fine!
Big hugs to mamas with sick babies. I hate reading about that. breaks my heart to hear the littles aren't feeling well.
We have a doctor appointment for our little guy this morning, he doesn't seem sick (besides being a teething/wonder week monster) but he's had these little red pin prick spots on his face for a couple days now- under his eye and above his ears. It looks likes petechiae but I don't know what would cause it, or if it's at a level for concern. DH will have to take him without me because work. Blah.
I am however going to leave early today, hopefully around 2:00 because I'm way over my hours, even though that holds no weight because of being salary. LAME.
Oh and apparently PB is not blocked at my office. Bad news for work, y'all. Bad news.
I find out today if PB is blocked at school. I have a feeling it is bc the district blocks everything and I'm sure doesn't want the liability of teens talking/meeting up through forums. I'm sad bc I'm sure I'll be falling even deeper into "lurkerdom" come next week!
@mothereffer Talk to your pedi at his 15 month appt, but I'm fairly certain they'll say that they would be concerned at 18 months. Our PT said 15 months, but I believe the AAP doesn't suggest starting therapy any sooner than18 months if they aren't walking at that time. Doesn't Si have a pretty large head? That can make it kind of difficult for them. He sounds like he is doing okay.
Guise, A has not needed a breathing treatment in 5 whole days. This is the best he has done in many, many months. Hoping the trend continues and we can just stay on the Simgulair and Flonase for awhile.
@mothereffer I would try not to worry. I was worried about V. She only recently started walking with ease versus just a few steps. Our pedi said 18 months is when she would become concerned. I think the fact that he is using the walker and taking steps unassisted is a good thing, and he will do it when he is ready.
cagoldi yay for A not needing a breathing treatment!
I just got a call that V has a fever of 101 and needs to come home. She seemed fine this morning. Ahhhh.

You guys I just went to DC and LM was moved up. I don't know what I think about it. There were at least 2 kids older than him in his old room and the kid closest to his age in the new room is 20 months, but most of them are over 2. They were all feeding themselves with sporks. I was thrown off and didn't say anything :-(

klongoria11 it's possible, but I don't get why they wouldn't have moved up the 18 month old in his class?
Also I'm curious you don't use wipes on pee diapers. Is this a common thing or a sensitive skin thing?
Cadence has extremely sensitive skin. If it is just a pee diaper I dry her off, but don't use a baby wipe. We even use sensitive baby wipes, but she gets rashes very easily.
klongoria11 We always wipe pee diapers I found these new ones called Water Wipes, and they seem to be a lot more gentle on the skin. A still has a pretty bad rash but I was able to use those without it bothering him much at all.
Is it possible that the toddler teacher is letting C use her paci all day? Maybe that 'a why she quit talking as much. I think it's pretty normal though. A was doing mostly babble for a couple weeks then all of a sudden he hit a huge verbal growth spurt. I think he was practicing all the sounds in preparation for forming the new words he was learning.
