I just signed up for Hynobirthing classes, and they start in a few weeks. In light of this upcoming event, DH and I watched someone on YouTube birth using the technique, and you could see him get white as a ghost and eyes grow large. He then turned to me after it was over and said "Babe. I'm soooo sorry! It looks so painful! Why can't the stork just drop off our kid, or something?! DAMN."

This is random and I think it might be a miracle. Someone pinch me. At the risk of being a total AW, I have to share...
I have been stressed to the max with work recently and just hating my President and CEO for loading me up with new projects with 3 months until EDD. Even though I wouldn't want to work anywhere else and I love consulting, it's been a constant bitchfest about them and about work recently...including our "great" switch to a new vacation policy. With the new policy, we get a set number of days off each year and it is double what we once got. Great, expect when you are like me and you already had a ton of days accrued and planned to carry them over. I basically lost all of my days and was screwed going into 2015 with a LO on the way.
Well I am on page 63 of a rough final report for a client and my President just called me (which pissed me off because I was on a roll). She said they looked at how many days I lost at the end of the year and they are going to let me take ALL of my vacation and personal days and tack them onto the end of my maternity leave. It's 30 fricking days!! So that means an extra month and a half of maternity leave. Total shock.
Let's just hope the happy tears I cried added a little something special to the final report I am typing...
That's amazing and it sounds like you earned it! I can't remember who but someone else posted about a leaving co-worker donating her PTO to her maternity leave. Stories like that seriously make me so so happy. [/quo

I'm sorry that I've been so MIA. It has been a clusterf*ck of a week, but I think it may be settling down. I miss you ladies, and I really, really appreciate the support and kind words with everything happening with my mom. They think they have a lead and she's in the middle of a test at the moment that will hopefully pinpoint the source of her pain.
I have my 24-week appt this afternoon, I imagine that I'll be hearing more about the GD test that so many of you are doing. Hope you all get good results!!
abstractualized I'm so, so sorry to hear about your job. That totally sucks, and it's not right. I'm sorry that they're also saying you don't really have a case. Can you talk to anyone else about that? I feel similar bitterness toward my job situation because I feel like they used my pregnancy as an excuse to move me onto a different team and not offer me full-time.
nurserachel22 Happy birthday! Hope you have a wonderful day celebrating!

Ugh you guys...I have another pregnancy brain random.
I ordered tickets last week for my bf and I to see Game of Thrones in IMAX tonight (he is obsessed). He called me at work today freaking out, to make sure I ordered tickets for 10pm and not 10am because when he looked it up they were in military time.
I checked my email...10pm. Told him to stop freaking out. Check my email this afternoon, there's a survey from Fandango asking how we enjoyed the movie. Ummm we didn't see it yet? I checked my confirmation...10pm LAST NIGHT! Luckily they are going to refund me and we still have our date to see it tonight.
