I'm pretty sure most adults would be a better parent than me today. D woke up at 5:30. It's now 7 and he is still in Jammie's and nighttime diaper. We read some books and now I gave him a banana, milk and my iPad and he's been entertaining himself for a half hour while I sit and drink coffee.... I just don't have it in me to wrestle that diaper quite yet

This is pretty much how weekend mornings go for us. It would be like this almost every day if I didn't have to go to work and get DD ready for daycare.

I have nursed DD for almost 20 months now. Although I am so proud we made it this far, nursing and pumping during her first year mostly stressed me out and caused me a lot of anxiety. I didn't enjoy her as much as I think I should have. When I have another LO, I will not put myself through the stress I did last year. I'm sure I will try, but I'm not pumping 6 times a day for three bottles for daycare.

I've pretty much narrowed schools for kindergarten down to 3, but I went to the last meeting last night just to get out of the house and make DH put both kids to bed.

I had no idea that kids could start Preschool at 2 years old until I saw the poll thread. Regardless, I have no desire to put her in Pre-K until she's four.

It was only a couple years ago that I found out you are suppose to floss before you brush your teeth. when I think about the fact that I would brush then floss, it grosses me out.

I had not even thought about that, but it makes perfect sense. I guess my confession is that there are only two days a year that my teeth are flossed, and those are the days I go to the dentist for a teeth cleaning.

If you floss every day it makes your cleanings 100% more comfortable and easier. I slacked off some with my horrible ms and my appointment last week SUCKED compared to how they normally go. My mouth was sore for two days after a routine cleaning.
Maybe I have an overly sensitive mouth? Idk.
Yeah, I definitely realize that. I do use mouth wash, and for what it is worth, my cleanings have never been bad and I've never had a cavity or any issues other than braces. I'm just super lazy.
workinit - btdt with the diaper. As for the iPad, Madeline gets mine almost every morning when we first wake up so that I can have a few minutes to drink my tea, probe and wake up.
I'm really looking forward to my ILs coming this weekend. I usually try really hard not to take advantage of them wanting to spend time with M, but I will be this time. After these past two weeks, I just want to sleep in, take naps and catch on all the energy I feel so drained of. Hopefully they don't mind just coming here to babysit

Well then carry on! I didn't mean for that to come across critical, sorry!
It's cool. I realize this is a totally gross habit I want my DD to take better care of her teeth than I do, so I realize I need to change my habits. I already texted DH to pick up some floss on his way home from work.

I have no idea how you consistent pumpers do (did) it. Seriously. No way I would have made it as far as I did if I had to pump every day. With the maternity "leave" you guys get any breastfeeding is a miracle. Absolutely no shame in not putting yourself through that again.

Paging workinit! Is this so?? My dentist told me that it didn't matter either way, so I've maintained my post brushing flossing habit. Please don't tell me I've been doing it wrong all these years!
I'm with my buddy sympkin. Fairly certain I would not have BF if I needed to pump.
I can't say I wouldn't have breastfed if I needed to pump, I think I wanted to badly enough that I would have made it work. But I really still can't imagine what you all have to go through with the pumping, especially going back to work so early. That's where it would have caused me major stress (and with M we might have quit because she flat out refused breastmilk from a bottle, forever). Building up a supply of pumped milk for daycare while still at home recovering and preparing to go back to work, pumping at work multiple times a day to keep up with that tiny, hungry human. Even if I had gone back to work, it would have been when M was 1, so she probably would have just had WCM at daycare and we would have continued breastfeeding at home, no pumping. You guys are my heroes. I really don't know how you do it.
Not glad KJ has pink eye but it's a nice excuse to be working from home today. I probably won't get much work done since I missed all the shows last night.
Speaking of teeth, great strong teeth runs on my side but not on DH's. I really hope KJ has my teeth genes.
Ditto! Well, I certainly want LO to inherit my extra awesome enamel (that's what dentists complement me on), but I have really crowded teeth, and DH never had issues with crowding until his wisdom teeth came in, so I want LO to have a bit more space in his jaw than I do!
I get road ragey. I shouldn't I only have a 3.5 mile commute and nothing is that urgent, but I still get annoyed frequently.
I get very road ragey. Lol and I use bad language. Now that M is picking up on what we say, I'm trying really hard to watch what I say. It's harder than it should be. Haha
