I hosted Thanksgiving last year, and it was a great success! This year my sister is hosting--her in-laws are visiting for the week from South Carolina. She isn't the best cook (last time she hosted she bought the turkey cooked from the Amish Market), but she always comes through with some tasty stuff.
I have been requested to bring a desert and wine. I'm making a peanut butter chocolate pie with an oreo cookie crust. It is SO EASY and always a big hit. Anything that involves cream cheese, peanut butter and oreos can't be bad.
I'm getting our free turkey from the grocery store tomorrow and I plan on defrosting and cooking it just for us. I did a new brine last year and it turned out great. Turkey is my favorite protein.
I always cook, even when it was just the two of us.
I will be making: Citrus-glazed turkey Roasted sausage Mashed potato Sweet potato Cranberry Sauce Brussels sprouts gratin (instead of green bean casserole) Gravy
DH is in charge of dessert.
It's not a holiday here, so I might cook on the weekend instead of Thursday, but I'm undecided on that point.

We're going to my parents. I don't know what all is on the menu, but it's been requested that I make my Brussels sprouts dish. It's Brussels sprouts cooked in olive oil with cranberries, pecans, Gorgonzola, balsamic vinegar and a hint of maple syrup.

I'm hosting the gathering for my family (parents, sisters and their immediate families; so not my cousins, aunts, etc). By hosting, I mean having it at my house, haha. My mom is coming over tomorrow to help plan it out. We already know that she'll do the turkey and I always do mashed potatoes and gravy. My sisters will also being stuff.
Earlier that day we're getting together with DH's while family, where I'll again be bringing taters and gravy.
A few days before I make my own turkey stock with wings and necks. My gravy is always a hit.
Oh and we need to decide which Christmas movie to watch. My family always watches a movie after dinner.
We are going to thanksgiving but we usually do something with DH's dad on the weekend. They deep fry a turkey and I make make mashed potatoes and stuffing from the box. Nothing special. I work Friday Saturday and Sunday night shifts after thanksgiving so I will not be doing anything. But I will gladly wake up and eat some food if they do decide to make anything!

Going to my parents'. Mom hasn't let me know if I'm to bring a food item. Sounds like it'll be a small group this year, no out of town family. She'll probably do turkey, oyster dressing, salad, broccoli, cranberry sauce out of a can. Maybe cornbread dressing. My grandmother will probably bring a ham and potato salad. It's possible I'll make dessert. Cheesecake?
Wed night we're heading out to my sisters who lives three hours away and we'll be spending the night so we don't have a long day (with 6 hours of driving) on Thursday. My sister always makes so much delicious food. She's making: the turkey cheese/sausage and crackers plater that's floating around pintrest, squash soup, baking the turkey, mashed potates, bacon wrapped asparagus, BIL makes chicken and noodles. My other sis makes a Czech cracker stuffing. My mom makes 8 layer salad and green fluff. I bring corn bread and green bean casserole. Phew. We'll finish with pumpkin pie and probably something else amazing bc my sister is an awesome baker!
Did I mention thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays?! I can't wait. I work the weekend so I'm missing the IL thanksgiving. Even better
We always go to my parents' house; his family doesn't get together for Thanksgiving at all. My dad has requested a banana pudding. They take care of the rest. My dad is such a good cook!

We always go to my moms. She does Turkey, gets a ham, does oyster dressing and baked macaroni.
I do my cornbread dressing, and usually a dessert. Everyone else brings something. This year my uncle had surgery recently, so they are coming by my aunt wont be able to do her mirliton casserole so DH is going to do it. It's totally a NOLA thing, but here is a recipe that is close to what DH does.
We're going to my parents. I don't know what all is on the menu, but it's been requested that I make my Brussels sprouts dish. It's Brussels sprouts cooked in olive oil with cranberries, pecans, Gorgonzola, balsamic vinegar and a hint of maple syrup.
I am making a new dish for ILs family's dinner and it sounds similar to your brussel sprouts except it also has summer Squash and no cheese or balsamic, it looks good!
We are going to ILs for early dinner then my parents around 4. We are bringing layered pumpkin pie and homemade pretzle rolls to both (we dont make the rolls but a baker friend does) and then the sprouts to the ILs. My dad cooks the food for my family, and I am super ready to eat it all! ;-) I am also excited for E to try the Thanksgiving food.
DHs dad is flying in for the weekend so we have plans every day he's here do I am sure it will go fast. Also this is the first Thanksgiving that DH and I have been together where he doesn't have to work black Friday so we won't have to leave early for him to go to bed, excited for that.
I've hosted for the last couple of years and will again. I'm making the standard fare - turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, cranberries, cornbread muffins, pumpkin pie and apple crisp.

We're going to my parents'. I don't cook anything. Y'all are making me feel like such a mooch, lol. My parents wouldn't let me cook anything though, even if I was any good at it.
I assume we'll have: Turkey Mashed potatoes Rolls Green bean casserole Deviled eggs Cranberry salad Caramel rolls Pumpkin pie
