Frivilous post- pg test all wrong on tv show

First, this is just a stupid wtf post, nothing serious.  But I understand where speshal snowflakes come from now.  



The overall gist:
I am watching a show on TV... a stupid 1980s show on TNT.  The girl on the show takes a pg test and it's positive. (First of all grr...) and she feels like it all happened too fast.  At the end of the show she takes another one and it's negative.   It all works out and she tells the guy and they take it slow... 

SERIOUSLY?? REALLY?? YOU GOT A POSITIVE TEST AND THEN A NEGATIVE ONE DAYS LATER?  I was actually silently screaming at the TV "You Speshal Snowflake, you probably got an evaporation line the first time.  Stay away from the blue tests"   

Haha... yeah... I know, it's just a TV show but they're making crazy even crazier. LOL  And this ladies is where speshal snowflakes are made.

Now I want to know what show. I can't think of an 80s show that is being run in reruns on TNT. I notice inaccuracies like that a lot more too. It makes me nuts. Also, I cannot bring myself to watch Jane the Virgin because with everything I have learned about IVF from you ladies, the premise seems implausable.

lickwed OK, I'll man up and name the show... Charmed... yes... everything on there is out there so it makes sense they got the "test" wrong too. LOL

ETA: I also realized after I posted it was later than the 80s.  Like 2000 or something, but it seemed so long ago and 2000 was just yesterday wasn't it?

I love Charmed. It was 2000s because I was out of college when I was watching it. Must have been Piper and Leo. Phoebe's demon baby was classic.

I notice crap like that all the time - or like when they take a test like the day after they have the sex.

Roseanne is one of my favorite shows but in one episode they told her the amnio showed she was having a girl and then she ended up having a boy. That's always bugged me, like we're just supposed to ignore that. I suppose it's like when the youngest kid on Family Matters disappeared and no one talked about that.

Did Brenda on 90210 get a "false positive" too? I remember her taking a test and then getting AF before the dr. appt but don't remember the home test results.

I tried to guilty pleasure watch reruns the other day and it was not the "old" 90210 but a new one.  I was so sad.  I was glued to that show when it was on... and then Melrose Place when it spun off.

And Jacki's delivery was just so wrong and disappointing

And if you pay attention to the timeline she would have already been knocked up when she smoked the twenty year old joint with Dan and Roseanne.  I bet she felt guilty about that.

It was the one where Pheobe meets the guy, takes a test, but i really don't remember the rest of what it was about... they have a couple on every morning when I work from home so most of the time I flip them on as background noise.  That part just caught my attention.  It's the season where Leo was stripped of his powers after he wasn't an elder because he got rid of the guy that talked to himself in the mirror but was an elder trying to kill Wyatt... where they had the bad power of 3 working with the good power of 3.  It was a few episodes later I think....

Was it just before the avatars?  I never remember Phoebe trying to get pregnant with anyone other than Cole.  Unless it was the rich guy who she moved to Hong Kong with.

No, just after. She wasn't trying, she just thought she was and she had just meet the guy or something. End of the episode she takes another test and she isn't. They decide to take it slow and date or something. (What a concept right? )

Anyone remember when Carla and Turk were TTC on Scrubs? There was one episode where her temp spikes up to 99 and she makes him come home immediately for sex. Dumbass, after your temp spikes it's too late! You're medical professionals, for crying out loud.

The movie What to Expect When You Are Expecting was like that. Trying for awhile, pPhone timer goes off, must have sex now, another BFN and then of course they just stop trying and it happens. If only it was always that easy.

lickwed I saw that movie right after my crap news. Wanted to throw things at the TV... but ended up liking the cheesy in the end. Factually out there, but at least they showed everyone was different.

I think I saw it after DD was born and before my losses, so it doesn't seem to affect me as much and I can re watch it cheesiness and all.
