Good morning! I haven't been able to post much because life has been absolutely crazy. I've been lurking though, trying to keep up with everyone! My FFFC: I mentioned pancakes to E the other day around DH and she got all excited. I did it because he was off yesterday and I didn't want to cook dinner last night or breakfast this morning. I knew that if he saw her all excited about pancakes, he'd make them. So, pancakes for dinner last night and breakfast this morning. They bonded while cooking them, she ate so many, and I got to sit and relax.
wedding, we do time-out with E for a few things. If we redirect, she smacks us in the face. We do the 1-2-3 magic, but not for everything, just the really dangerous things right now. If she climbs the gate, we do 1, 2, and then 3 is time-out for a minute. Biting and hitting (us or the dogs), also warrants the 1-2-3 timeout. Touching light sockets (we have them plugged, but still) or cords is an automatic time-out.
We've been doing it since around 12 months and she knows now, so when we say "Okay, E, that's one. Make a better choice or you will go in time-out" she usually moves on to other things. Sometimes it gets to 2, but most of the time she stops because she really doesn't want to do time out. We put her in her PnP for hers without any toys for a minute.
