I do with LO couple times a day. I think it's good for them, teaches them that they don't always need someone there and they can stimulate themselves on their own.
Great thanks all...i obviously lo e it because it let's me get things done, even if that is just emailing or reading the forum, but want to make sure it wasn't bad for some reason at this point...like making him anti social or something. Weird ftm fears
flyster, I do the same thing with my LO. He loves his play mat, so I'll stick him in it after I feed him while I get dressed, make/eat breakfast, clean up the kitchen a little, etc. I talk to him while he's in there and he gets his wiggles out and we're both happy.
I'm feeling a little guilty. I feel like I have all the patience in the world for LO but zero for DH. I have to try really hard to not snap at him over stupid little things.

I feel the same. I cried on Sunday bc DH was all you aren't talking to me nicely, meanwhile I am cooing at the baby.
2nd this. I have 0 patience for him. Maybe the baby is stealing it all? Maybe its natures way of making sure we dont have two kids too close together? Id really like to start like my DH again..

It's pretty much just my husband. I swear he just wants to irritate the hell out of me. No wonder his mother is bat shit crazy. I told him this morning that I wish I was going back to work sooner. Not that I am tired of being at home with LO, I could stay at home forever with him. Tired of DH's comments.
DH comes home yesterday and goes "oh, you didn't finish cleaning the office today?" I told him to leave the room and not to come back until he said something nice.

Oh dh would be in SO much trouble if he said something like that!
Money's getting tight so the job hunt starts next week. I can already feel the break down comming.
I'm sorry, abb1701. I hope at least the job hunt is successful so you don't have job hunt frustration on top of money stuff on top of coming to terms with not SAH.
Possibly a question for a different board, but has anyone started using a regular stroller? The stroller I have for the car seat is pretty shitty.... got both from my sister and i remember her thinking also the stroller part wasnt great. I want to save it mostly for shopping trips ect and get the regular one for walks when he isn't already asleep in the car seat when we start. I had registered for the city mini and it looks like o line at least I can use it for him now...anyone know/doing that already? LO is 7 weeks.
I scheduled an oil change for 10:30 tomorrow (uhh, today I guess) because he's been sleeping so well and is usually napping then. I'm not looking forward to what the morning brings.
Side note -- humble brag. Ignore if it ticks you off.
I have now been told twice that I look smaller than before baby. That makes this plus size mama happy. I'm back to all pre-preg clothes and weight but stuff has shifted. I think the larger and fuller boobs (38J) hide the wiggly stomach bits.

Ok.. Back to regular programming.
Dw tells me I look skinny does that count lol Still 10 to go plus 20 from pp Got my Girl Scout cookies yesterday....
I tried on some pre-pregnancy jeans and they wouldn't come up past my thighs. I can't tell if it's weight I need to lose or if my hips are now permanently wider and therfore need bigger pants.
Also I'm okay with keeping on some of the weight. I've always been naturally thin and would have people tell me they hate me because of it. Since real women have curves I'm finally a real woman. (Why can't that phrase be real women come in all shapes and sizes?)
