When theres no new posts on the board from one MOTN feeding to the next you wonder if your the only one not getting sleep tonight...
LO has not been letting me be hands free during feeding. If he does, he usually goes into a shallow latch that hurts like a mother.... He's really cutting into my feb 15 time these days.
Mine did this for a bit. Hope your LO gets out of this habit soon!

Same here with the shallow latch. I can't seem to get him to latch right at all. We always start out right, then somehow he always manages to slide down, even with my hand already firmly holding his head in place. Little punk! I cut his feeding short just now cos I'm sore. Nipple shields don't work for us anymore, he doesnt get enough milk out. I must be doing something wrong cos we didn't have that issue before.
I'm still dealing with a cracked left nipple. How long should it take to heal? It's been nearly 3 weeks (though it is a pretty wide crack and is slowly getting smaller). It makes it hard to know if he had a good latch or not since it hurts anyway.
Also, would a bad latch always hurt? When he's on the right side it looks okay and doesn't hurt, but I end up with the lipstick every time. I don't even know if I should pull him off or not.

Last time I had a cracked nipple was the week when LO was born, lasted about a week and a half. Express some BM and leave it on the nipple to air dry. It really did speed up the healing process for me. Then double down with nipple cream before you put your bra back on.

That's actually been my issue too since we ditched the nipple sheild. LO is sleeping enough though that I sometimes have trouble going right back to sleep which is when I usually post. It's kind of a sad improvement
LO is starting to grow out of his 0-3month clothes. He just turned 2 months yesterday. He's such a chunk.
My DS too. It makes me sad! He is 8 weeks tomorrow and its shocking how fast time is flying!
I guess my LO was undersize to begin with, he just got done with his newborn clothes and is now wearing 3mos. Those newborn and preemie stuff were soooooo tiny and adorable. I had a bit of a cry when I packed them away yesterday.
We are back to waking up every 2 hours. Sigh... and there is nothing good on TV to help keep me awake. I wish I had enough energy to do a workout during these long stretches of being awake at night.
Dammit. DS was sound asleep and I changed his diaper because I thought he pooped. Just wet, and now he's wide awake. Luckily he's not crying, so hopefully some music and rocking will get him back to sleep.
Well the diaper was really heavy, so I probably should have changed him anyway. I wish I did it before feeding him. But I didn't want him getting too mad and frantic.
what happened to my beautiful sleep 5 hours a night baby??? Even when he was a newborn he didn't wake up this much. Crazy kudos to all you mom's dealing with waking every 2 hours since day 1!
On the plus side, LO learned how to smile during this spurt. Cutest. Thing. Ever. He doesn't do it all the time, but, man, my heart melts when he does.

Ahhh isn't it the best?! Its one of my favourite times! I love the goofy new grins. It comes just at the right time, just when you think you can't last one more sleepless night, they hit you with the first smiles and all the sleepiness is forgotten.
Add another to the fussy baby 6 week growth spurt camp. Took over 3 hours to get her to bed last night. DH spent most of it playing video games and I was pissed but he stepped up in the end and silenced her finally at 12:15am.

DD has been smiling at us for a little while now, and she had the cutest grin this morning. DH said that her big smile made her fussy night last night totally worth it. I love it when he says stuff like that, makes me love him even more.

Thank god my husband doesn't play video games I don't know how you ladies do it. We had a rough time going to bed last night but he slept decent once he did good down and has been sleeping most of today!

My heart melts when my LO smiles. I caught a great pic of him the other day with a huge smile and it made me so happy!
toadandbuggie, Aaah, I keep trying to catch his smile with my phone camera but he gets super distracted/interested in the phone I'm holding in front of his face and won't smile ha!

LO does that too. I can't believe I actually got a good pic it was just incredible timing.
