Are you reading any book currently? If so, what; if not, what was the last book you read? Or why isn't reading your thing?
I am currently between books. I just quit reading The Girl With All the Gifts because it is not my kind of book even though it gets rave reviews.
I haven't figured out what I am reading next which is a weird thing to not know for me.
I am a bibliophile
I actually really liked The Girl with All the Gifts. I wouldn't give it a rave review, and it's certainly not my usual style, but I really liked it. DH doesn't like to read but likes audiobooks & has a really hard time falling asleep, so I read aloud to him every night when we get in bed, and I added Girl with All the Gifts to our possible bedtime story list. I think he might like it.

Caught the Wrong Guy, Gave Him the Wrong Finger. My sister let me borrow.
Reading is so my thing! I won the Accelerated Reader award in my school two years in a row (and I only went there for fourth and fifth grade) because I read more books then anyone else in the school. My siblings tell me this isn't something to brag about.
I am very picky about my voted water. I don't like the way some brands taste. (Dasani and Evian are gross)
I think Dasani is gross too, which is unfortunate because my paternal grandfather worked for Coca-Cola bottling so I have HUGE brainwashed brand loyalty to Coca-Cola products.

I am really tired of dystopian and zombies have never been my thing so... I think I was never going to like the book.

Definitely tired of dystopian too. I went into Girl with All the Gifts without knowing anything about the plot, so that helped.

This is awesome. I remember there was this kid in elementary school who would just take tons of AR tests without reading g them to win this award. He read a lot too but not as many books as he took AR test. My mom was so mad at him for cheating.
I got enough points to "buy" this sweet puppet from the AR store. I still own that guy.

Random first trimester aversion: Wal-Mart. I don't know if it's the way it smelled or the fact that I just associate Wal-Mart with dirty, but every time I walked in, I would have a huge gag-fest and nearly throw up. Which is really bad when you live in a small town and Wal-Mart is the only store you have that isn't a grocery or a farm store.

Check out the Wrong Guy, Wrong Finger book I mentioned. It takes place in NoVa and is a nice fluff book to read and it's fun to see towns and places you know mentioned.

I mostly like history and political books, but fluff books are my go to for vacations and when I want something that doesn't involve a lot of thought to read. I like Emily Griffin's books a lot. Something Borrowed was cute and I liked the movie as well.

Bummer my library doesn't have it in ebook. May have to request it.

I'm leaving here in 10 minutes so I can go home, make dinner and fold the towels so we have enough for my parents to use while they are here. The hospital is only 5 minutes away, but we'll probably leave at 6:30 to give ourselves enough time to get there, park and head up to Labor and Delivery. I'm starting to get anxious.

I love Emily Giffin! Haven't read her latest or Something Blue but I think I've read everything else she's published.

Dasani is tap water with salt in it. Which is why I don't like it.

Something Blue was better than Something Borrowed. I don't know why, but I loved it. Maybe because the book totally changed my opinion of Darcy and I actually wound up liking her and rooting for her. I feel like that's the sign of a good book. If the author can totally change your opinion and make you root for the "bad" guy, it did it's job.

I realized something weird today. I have stick straight thin hair. When I was pregnant with DD, my hair hardly changed except maybe got a little thicker. Her hair is exactly like mine. With DS, my hair got kind of thick and weird wavy. He has very thick, wavy hair.
