Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating today!
DH forgot to turn off his typical weekday alarm, so I'm up and predictably thinking about too much to sleep.
Our announcement last night went well! Everyone is excited. My FIL was like, I was going to ask when you guys were going to have another (so glad he didn't, this is a terrible question), and my dad was like, I thought you'd have kids closer together. Erg. Well, guys, you don't always get to choose. If it had been up to me, my second kid would be here already.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!
I woke up this morning feeling great. First trimester really must be coming to a close I'm so thankful for feeling well, and for this pregnancy, and for my husband and my family and the bounty of wonderful food we'll get to eat today! And I'm thankful for you ladies for your support (or commiseration) and advice. Have a great day!

DS was up most of the night dry heaving and hasn't been able to keep anything down for about 24 hours now. We're waiting for a call back from the doctor to see if they want us to bring him in again this morning or go right to the ER for an IV because he's super dehydrated.
Despite all of that, I've been thinking about how thankful I am for all of the small, good things this year that have made the big, bad things so much easier to deal with. This has been a really tough year for our family but there have been so many little glimmers of good that it's helped us all make it through some really shitty times.
Also, PSA: when you're pregnant and hormonal and driving for 2 hours by yourself, listening to Delilah on the radio playing Christmas music brings up ALL the emotions! lol
Happy thanksgiving American friends! Hope you all enjoy the yummiest of food and are able to eat and keep it all down! And that you spend time with your families that is stress free! I'm jealous my turkey day was already a month ago - so enjoy some for me
soultrane I want to like your post but your poor DS! Hope you hear back soon!
Thanks! His doc is supposed to be in at 10 so I'm hoping for a quick call soon. Not exactly how we pictured spending Thanksgiving, but he's being such a trooper.
Also, INCREDIBLY thankful that his doctor's office is open 364 days a year!!

Happy Thanksgiving y'all! I am super thankful to still be here in this BMB, and that we haven't had a fisting thread yet. Although that would be entertaining... Maybe for Christmas. I am also so thankful that my dog is getting along really well with my visiting 15mo godson, which makes me think he will do really well with our own spawn. And also I'm very thankful that my husband appears to have been possessed by aliens and is doing ALL THE THINGS to help me today. It is truly a Thanksgiving miracle!
Hope everyone enjoys their meals, Thanksgiving or not. Om nom nom

Ugh, I'm so sorry your DS is so sick! Hope he mends soon! My cousin, his wife (who was like 15 weeks pregnant at the time), and their 3 year-old son ALL got the stomach bug last year on Thanksgiving. 2 out of 3 of them ended up in the ER for IVs It sucked at the time but makes for a sort of funny story now.

Yuck! I've gotta say, DH has stepped up big time and has been taking care of him a ton so I can hopefully avoid getting this. The thought of throwing up more than I already am is making me nervous but I can't keep myself from giving him all the cuddles.
I think I often get so caught up in how busy and chaotic my life can be that I don't stop to think about all that I have to be thankful for.
I am so thankful for my wonderful DH, who for some reason, has put up with me all these years and continues to be a wonderful husband and father.
I'm very thankful for my DS, who came into our lives almost 2 years ago and has continued to be the most amazing gift I could have ever asked for.
I am so thankful for my family and that everyone has gotten their scary health problems mostly solved and under control.
I am thankful for the career that I have. It causes me to be way busier than I want to be, but I truly am blessed to be able to provide very well for my family doing something that I love.
Last, but certainly not least, I am very thankful for this little one that is growing inside me now. This has been a heartbreaking year for me with 2 losses, but I feel very hopeful that this will be our rainbow baby.
Thank you all ladies for sharing this journey together!
Happy Thanksgiving! So much to be thankful for this year.
We are watching the parade and having a lovely, slow morning. Making an appetizer to bring to Thanksgiving dinner at my uncle's in a bit. Looking forward to a family and food filled day.

Happy thanksgiving! I'm so thankful for my family, our careers, all of the blessings we have been given, and the time we get to spend together. We are flying home today and I'm thankful DS is such a good traveler! And I'm thankful Disneyland was so much fun!
I think my winner for most annoying pregnancy symptom has to be dizziness. Believe me, I appreciate that my m/s hasn't been serious because that would be much worse. But I've been trying to get ready to go to family dinner for an hour and it took me four tries to dry my hair (and the results are not impressive). I'm lying in bed right now trying to get my head on straight enough to put on makeup. Good thing my family eats late! soultrane sorry to hear DS is so sick! I hope he turns a corner soon, and before you catch anything from him.
vivela sorry to hear you're so dizzy. I haven't dealt with that during this pregnancy, but during my first, I was almost constantly dizzy. It turned out to be a blood sugar issue for me. Really frequent eating and drinking helped out a ton. I hope it clears up for you soon!

I was also really dizzy early in this pregnancy - like between 4-6 weeks. It was due to low blood pressure. Lots of water but mostly adding a ton of salt to my diet helped. And yes, low blood sugar can also be a cause!
frecklesnbrains, babyzebra, Yea, I ate at 8:30 then not again until 2, so that is probably mostly the problem. I was going to eat lunch around noon and then DH distracted me with some strenuous exercise Had some juice and water and things seem fine now.
I'm currently laying on the couch at my in-laws house. We already had our meal but mostly everything made me nauseous. TMI, but I'm so constipated it's making me feel awful. That one Zofran pill I took really affected me. I took some milk of magnesia a few hours ago then read online it's not recommended during pregnancy and now I'm all nervous...it didn't work, anyways.
I'm still on cloud 9 from yesterday's news. Can't believe we're having a girl! I already bought a few girly things online

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We're being lazy and boring today. I need for someone to come clean my house. It's disgusting and I have no energy or desire to do anything.

My house is a horror show right now. I woke up with the intention of cleaning today and surprise! I feel tired and crappy, just like every other day. My house can look lovely when the famed 2nd tri comes along and returns my general will to do anything but sit on the couch
I think proboards or tapatalk uses whatever was most recent as a photo or gif if one was posted. So for this one I get Ron stuffing his face (I kind of love it) And baby names I see Beyoncé
