We just got our first call regarding a little boy!

I'm so bummed I wasn't in my office when our SW called. She left a brief message saying that she wants to know if we'd like to be a part of a permanency plan for a little boy who is already legally free. She said she'll give us more information about the boy when she talks to us. She was going on a home visit and wouldn't be able to talk until later, but I left her a message and am anxiously waiting for her to call me back. If we think he sounds like a good fit for us and say yes, there's still no guarantee our file will be chosen for the teaming, but this is still very exciting!

Unfortunately, after speaking with our SW, we decided he may not be a good fit for our home. That was a really difficult decision to make, and we had very little time to decide. I hope it was the right decision.

I'm sorry jwinct. It's always hard to make those kind of difficult decisions, but ultimately it is the right one. If it was a good fit, you would have said yes. Go easy on yourself.
