I like every single name so far! I knew we were a smart group of ladies
Although I am indeed considering Kadence and Sabriel, we have not decided on names yet. I cannot get my husband to have a serious discussion. Every time I ask he just comes up with a joke answer.
I did recently post on the Baby Names board- I had a brief, one hour love affair with the name Lark and needed some honest feedback. I think I'm over it.
In the lead are Talia Sage and Alice (?), but there are some other contenders, like Anna. It's far from set.

I'm glad I made it through this thread! I was terrified that we are behind on yet ANOTHER thing, and then relieved to see how many of you are also kind of nowhere when it comes to names.
I reeeeeally wanted to have a short list so we'd have options, but so far we've only agreed on one girl name (Alice Victoria) and we are nowhere with boy names. The name Gabriel has been on our list forever, but earlier this year one of my cousins had a baby and used it. Part of me doesn't care, because nobody owns a name and it's not like we're ever really going to see these people unless someone gets married or dies, but our dog also happens to share a name with their firstborn so it makes things a little extra awkward.
Right now it's a toss up between Cohen John or Noah John. SO loves the name Noah, but I don't think it flows well with John for the middle name (which isn't negotiable), but it will definitely be one of those two. I guess we will have to wait until we meet the little guy to see which is more fitting
Not that you asked for advice, but if you are debating, you should be aware there is some level of controversy about the first name Cohen, unless you are a Jewish "Cohen." It's somewhat complicated, but basically, "Cohen" isn't just any Jewish surname, it's the name of a priestly class/clan thought to be descended from Aaron. Jewish Cohens (or Kohens) have special rights/responsibilities in the temple. I'm not an expert about the details (I'm not very religious). I do know there is now even a DNA test Jews can get to determine if they are a Cohen
In sum, some Jews might be offended by the name. I wouldn't be, but I def do not speak for all Jews.
I apologize if you know all this already. For all I know you are a Kohen!
I definitely did not know that! I knew that it is a Jewish name, but didn't know the significance of it. I will take that into consideration. this is why I appreciate feedback, because these are things that I would never think of on my own. I'm grateful I still have a few months to figure it out!
I've been MIA lately, but I'm glad this was posted bc I'm having name anxiety!
I think we're set on Sydney Blake
But I can't fully commit. I just worry about her getting picked on or called Cindy, but almost all of the names DH and I agree on are location names. Our last name is only 1 syllable, so I really like 2 syllable names. eeek, anywho. This is what it is for now, but we're not sharing IRL in case we change our mind.

Ugh I have no clue! So far Elijah(Eli), & Isaiah are in the running. I'm just not sold on Isaiah because there isn't a nickname. Middle name is Paul. That's all we have set in stone. I am loving everyone's name choices tho & very jealous of the people that have already made the decision!
We aren't at all committed. We have the same general taste (Irish and/or classic names) but haven't found one that we're set on. Open to suggestions to add to the list! I don't think we'll commit until he's born.

Lark!? Oh man. This changes everything... I will be discussing this name with DH tonight!
