I've spent a good part of today thinking about and looking/ordering supplies for my kid's first birthday party. I should be doing work. At least I'm caught up?

I was in the middle of drying my hair last night when LO woke up so I let her cry for a couple extra minutes while I finished up the section I was working on.
Also, I don't want to tell DH how to parent because he's great with her overall but it drives me a little crazy when she wakes at night and he talks to her while trying to put her back down. I just pick her up and rock her without talking.
I'm more worried about what I AM going to wear at LOs b-day than the party itself! Part of the reason i'm eating so well and on a "diet" and working out a ton right now is bc I want to look really good by his b-day. Possibly back at pre-BFP weight.
I want to hit just about every other car in the garage at work or slap a "you park like an asshole" sticker on their cars.

I picked up arbys the other night, and when I opened the car door, MHs potato cakes fell out onto the ground. He was in the house so I just out them back in the bag.
Our friends just told us that they are having a destination wedding in mexico at the end of april. thank goodness DH is making some money so we can afford to go! very short notice. My fffc? 2 of em:
1) I feel like a fattyfatpants and I haven't lost a pound of baby weight. I look ok in jeans/t-shirts, but more like a melted candle in a bikini. now with this destination wedding coming up, I know I'll be in a bathing suit in front of all our besties for about 4 days straight..........and I had a tuna melt, cheese fries, and a rootbeer float for lunch today. and I'm about to get a mountain dew. motivation to diet = 00000! (tips and advice welcome. I really would like to lose some of the jiggle).
2) this resort is a 'luxury resort' in playa mujeres. I'm super excited. the only downside is that it is all-ages. I love my LO, but I hate other people's kids at resorts. screaming and splashing and taking up all the space in the hot tub. maybe it sounds selfish...I just don't want to drop 3K on a vacation where other people's loud kids will be bugging me the whole time. FX that since it is just opening there won't be too many kids around!
ETA- my LO is not coming, just for the record. myself and DH only.
We are not doing a party at all for Levi. He will get a cake and we will do our nuclear family only. I don't feel bad at all. I'm relieved. My dh has been very ill, don't think I've mentioned it here bc I am not up to discussing it, but with his illness and unknown recovery path, plus our already busy lives I am in no mood to host others for something Levi could care less about.

If I don't feel like getting up at night with LO I nudge DH a wake and tell him it's his turn and that I was already up with him during the night.. DH is oblivious in his sleep so he never knows
Thanks ya'll! He is actually starting to improve which is probably why I mention now. He and I are older than most of you ladies here and he has had issues for a long while now. snapshot: diabetes, ulcer on his toe, infection, hospitalized Dec 27, amputation, while in hospital pneumonnia (sp?!too lazy to correct), staph infection in blood = dialysis. Scary. He is still in the hospital. Yes, it has been emotional/physically difficult as hell. ok that's it gotta work for a few moments. Thanks for any well wishes
@kellbell I'm sorry about your DH but glad to hear things are improving.
kimberpoo I get it. DH and I love kids but we made sure the resort we went to for our honeymoon was adults only. Kids are lots of fun, but not so relaxing :-)

FFC: if it was my potatoe cake that fell on the ground, I'd still pick it up. I'd just be sure that one went to my BF

We don't do gifts for valentine's day, for each other or for the kids. I probably will offer some crafts for DS1 to do. But that'll be the extent of it.
But we just has Christmas, DS1 just had a birthday, LO birthday is coming up, it's exhausting. Plus DS1 is still too young to get the whole meaning of it.

I went big for DS1 first birthday. This year we are doing small for both kids bc we are saving for a family vacation to Disneyland in Sept. So LO is not getting nearly what DS1 got.
