Thanks ya'll! He is actually starting to improve which is probably why I mention now. He and I are older than most of you ladies here and he has had issues for a long while now. snapshot: diabetes, ulcer on his toe, infection, hospitalized Dec 27, amputation, while in hospital pneumonnia (sp?!too lazy to correct), staph infection in blood = dialysis. Scary. He is still in the hospital. Yes, it has been emotional/physically difficult as hell. ok that's it gotta work for a few moments. Thanks for any well wishes
I am so sorry about your hubby! Prayers things will start getting better:)
I'm glad that DH is on the mend @kellbell. FWIW, we're probably not going to do a big party either and we don't have nearly as much going on as you do.

I hope everything continues to improve with your husband @kellbell. Don't feel bad about no big party - we aren't having one either. Just immediate family.

@kellbell, so sorry your husband isn't well but glad he is getting better.
We have always done big b day parties for DS1 but I'm not doing one for the twins. We will do a smash cake probably the night of their birthday and we are also hosting playgroup that days so I will make cupcakes.
Instead of the b day party I asked DH to take me out to a nice dinner, including expensive cocktails before hand. babysitter + cocktails +dinner with wine will probably be more expensive than just having a party but I have no energy to plan it and have lame ass "friends" flake out.
