Is anyone else having mostly evening and night time sickness? I feel pretty fine most mornings, a little worse by the afternoon, and then by dinner time pretty nauseous. The worst time though is around 10-11 PM. It's kind of a weird pattern, but I know it could be worse.
No nausea for me babyzebra, but this insomnia has got to stop. I am so uncomfortable at night. Lying on my back makes my hand go numb, and lying on my sides ranges from uncomfortable to painful. My hip hurts and I just can't sleep. Everyone said I need to rest before the baby comes, but how is that possible? I haven't had a good nights sleep in two months. This is miserable. So miserable that I splurged and bought that Snoogle pillow from Amazon this week. It arrives today (thank goodness for Prime). I'm desperate. I really couldn't even afford the Snoogle this week bc money is super tight right now (we live in a 1 bedroom and are buying a house soon for obvious reasons), but if I don't get some sleep I'm going to fall apart. *6am rant over
babyzebra, my nausea has been worse at night, too, lately! It's been getting dramatically better as the weeks go on, so I guess I should be thankful it's just at night now vs. all day. Hope you feel better soon.
Sorry you're having a hard time sleeping, bgkc4. I've heard the snoogle is magic. I haven't been sleeping great and didn't when I was pregnant with DS either. Glad I've been able to stomach a little bit of coffee the past couple days; needed it!
I've kind of been MIA since the holiday weekend! I'm going to try to force myself to go to the gym this morning, and then we're going to come back and bake Christmas cookies! DS is two and at such a fun age where he loves to help stir, measure, etc. So excited.

Yup. It's all gone now (yay!) but at its peak it would start getting worse at about 4pm, improve slightly after dinner, and then come back with a vengeance by 10-11pm, prevent me from falling asleep and wake me up multiple times. I kept a package of crackers on my night stand.
The pregnancy insomnia is the worst. I haven't been sleeping either. It is affecting my attitude for sure. Yesterday I felt as if I had no pep left to give.

babyzebra, yep! I always called it "evening sea sickness" from the time I'd need to make supper to go to bed, it would be at its worse.
I'm finding I have a lot of anger lately as result of the news and the world.
1. Did you SEE the video of Trump mocking a disable reporter? Who in the flying F are people supporting him?!
2. Planned Parenthood shooting and protests - FFS. I hate this whole, "PP sell baby parts" rhetoric. Yes, they perform abortions on willing women who know what they're doing. And those unborn babies can then be used to advance medicine and science. It's a silver lining of a shitty rain cloud. That man who released that video should be tried along side the Colorado shooter for inciting riots. Secondly - PP does a WHOLE LOT MORE for women's health care than abortions. Thirdly - How dare ANYONE (especially women) proudly preach Pro-life, "i would NEVER do that!" BS. Unless you have been in the exact same situation, with the exact same circumstances and support systems and family as every single person seeking an abortion - STFU.
3. My heart breaks for France and for the countless peaceful Muslims who are dealing with this anti-islamic dribble sweeping the internet and the media.
4. With that said - why did all of FB turn their profile pictures into French flags when Boko Haram is abducting girls and murdering people every.single.day in Nigeria - where is the outrage? Where is the support for those thousands and thousands of people? I hate that it's easier for America to support people who look and act like Americans than it is for those who don't.
I am so sorry for my political rant this morning - but, honestly, there is so much to be angry and sad about and it's heartbreaking.
I had a terrible night's sleep last night. I just couldn't get comfortable. Wah! I'm such a baby without my sleep.
And to echo what others are saying, yes, I'm experiencing feeling crappier in the evening, too. It's not horrible, but after dinner I definitely feel gross and then the heartburn kicks in.
I have insomnia as well. It's not that I can't get comfortable, it's just an anxious feeling preventing me from sleeping. Dr THINKS that it will get better once 1st tri is over and my hormones even out. We'll see.
On a MUCH lighter note - I'm trying to buy socks for DH for cold-weather running, but I need them to come in a 12-15 size, and that's hard to come by.
Smartwool brand, size XL. Both DH and I use them for running and hiking and pretty much everything else. Expensive but they last forever and are the best.

Speaking of sleep, I actually slept through the ENTIRE night last night - 10:30pm until 7:30am and I didn't wake up once. No middle of the night pee'ing or nausea or anxiety or restlessness. It was a miracle. I hate to say this but my husband's out of town and I think that's part of it. I usually sleep better alone.

Yes. This is me exactly. I guess it's good that I can survive through the morning....but it gets progressively worse all day. So sorry, hope it ends for both of us soon!

And amen to your political rants, all of them.
Thanks! I'm looking at Smartwool right now... and they have some nice crew socks (he wants crew for winter running). I noticed the sizing chart says the XL covers men's size 11-13.5... so that should cut it. I'm so out of the distance running scene that I don't even know how to shop.

Flair Underwood, yes those socks should be great. I'm pretty sure my DH has a few pairs of that exact kind. The "light" is actually pretty thick and padded for a running sock, so it's great for winter running. The "ultralight" are more like your typical thin-weight running socks and are good for other seasons. They do run slighly large, so the XL should be fine for your H. My DH wears a 9-9.5 shoe and he likes the M (which goes up to 8.5) instead of the L, so they don't bunch up in your running shoe.
babyzebra, I'm having the exact opposite experience. Morning sickness actually in the morning. I am nauseous until about lunchtime and I feel my best around dinner. I feel a little sick after taking my prenatal, but I usually fall asleep before it gets bad.
bgkc4, I'm sorry! I can't sleep either and it totally sucks. I asked MH for a snoogle for Christmas, so I am hoping it will help!
teggy20, I'm going to the gym today too! It has been waaaaay too long. Have fun making cookies!
Flair Underwood, I had to take a break from watching the news cause it was literally making me sob. Rant away!
frecklesnbrains, that is amazing! I am so jealous of your sleep!
AFM, last night I got to meet a friend's two week old baby girl! So much cuteness! Also my friend gave me a pair of maternity pants she never wore, which I am rocking today. They are a little big, but I am SO much more comfortable!
I can't wait to get my new maternity skinny jeans in the mail! I ordered from Gap on Monday and saved quite a bit. I haven't been able to wear any of my cute fall boots because all of my regular skinny jeans are way too uncomfortable.

I'm telling ya, Freckles... everything you post and say, I think "Man... I think I'd like that person in real life!"
This is a P&R because work is ca-razy this morning, but I want to shout an big ole AMEN to everything that you said Flair Underwood! And also an lol for your follow-up post about socks.

Yes. Mine starts around 4 pm then goes until about 8pm. My dr said that when she sees that it's an indicator that you're not eating enough during the day. Said to eat more protein and I have really noticed an improvement. When I eat an early dinner sometimes it goes away But when I'm already too nauseous to eat it snowballs.
Also, I echo GOmamab15. Protein has made a huge difference for me. If you're having trouble with solids, Bolthouse Farms makes this super yummy vanilla chai protein drink that has gotten me through tough spots.

Does anyone else use TCF while mobile? Maybe it's because I'm so used to TB but it feels so un user friendly?! Am I doing something wrong? I really like it over here but I'm mainly mobile and feel like there has to be something in missing?!
I'm jealous of all you with different times for your ms. Mine is all frickin day. And I am almost 14 weeks. It was gone at this point last time.
I'm with you! Thank god for Diclegis. I tried to see if maybe it has passed yet and skipped a day last week....NO WAY!! I'm almost 14 weeks and never had it with my 1st and only about a week with my 2nd
