Has anyone ever had stress effect their supply? Whenever we are at my in laws and I'm stressed out I pump way less.
I did from time to time at work. I'd always eat oatmeal daily when I started to notice a dip in supply. Also, dark beers. And calorie-rich foods in general. I was always amazed at what I could pump the day following a big meal out. Haha.
I think maybe hormones in combo with stress tanked my supply. I am pumping a little more tonight but not nearly enough. We had to give her formula earlier and now she's having tummy pains ?

Second 11-4 night in a row! I'll take it! We are currently nursing with the hopes of putting this kid right back to bed so I can pump, there maybe hope for you yet little man!
Meanwhile down the hall DD is carrying on a full conversation with herself complete with "ut oh"s and a bunch of "oh toodles" thrown in there for good measure. I dread the day she leaves the confines of the crib and is wandering around the room at this point.

We slept 10:30-2:30 and then 3:30-7:30. I'm calling it a win!!
However I can't help but compare to L, especially since I'm using the same app to track feedings and naps. I was so spoiled with her. At this point L was sleeping 10-6 and back down until 8.

L was a trick baby!
Mine was not. M is definitely sleeping pretty well.

Ours was a trick baby too. DH and I loved that article!
How the heck does daycare get P to nap so well?? I can't do it.
This was me with dd till she transitioned to one nap. She still naps longer at dc then at home, but I figure that is because she is just better at wearing her out then me.
TMI You guys I'm almost 5 weeks postpartum and still taking 3 stool softeners daily, and still cannot easily go to the bathroom. I def didn't have this problem before and I'm so annoyed by it. I don't know what else to do besides trying miralax and upping my fiber intake. Sad face.

Sometimes fiber can make it worse because it can increase the bulk of stool and when you're not going regularly, you just have more getting backed up. Are you drinking enough water? You can try two stool softeners twice a day and if that doesn't work try half a capful of miralax to start (can you tell I talk about this all day at work?). Some people have better luck changing to a different brand of stool softeners too.
I think hormones play into it too, especially while breastfeeding. Sorry it's not getting better

We may just keep this baby after all. He slept from 9:30-3:30 and then 4-8. Ok kid you can stay in the family. Granted we've been giving him a 4.5 ounce bottle of pumped milk before bed, but I'll take it. Andplusalso maybe I can convince DH to be in charge of putting him to sleep since my boobs won't be needed.

So tired. This morning I managed to get up out of bed, shut the alarm off, go back to bed and faceplant for the next 45 minutes until I woke up with the sun shining in my face and phone in hand. Jeebus. Sleeeeeep....
I'm so far behind on pumping that I think I may need to supplement tomorrow. I feel so guilty because i keep sleeping through my midnight pumping session. I have to do it tonight. I don't care how tired I am.
Also I think dh hates when I pump. I'm thinking about buying a medela freestyle so I can be more mobile when pumping.

This is the pump I had with DS. I had visions of using it while I folded laundry or did dishes. I didn't. But having a battery pack was great and it lasted awhile (granted i just did occasional pumping). When we would travel I wouldn't need to bring the changer which was one less thing I had to remember.

Do you think it would be easy to walk around with?

It comes with attachments to attach the pump to your nursing bra, so you don't need to get a separate pumping bra. The motor also has a clip so you can attach it to your waistband. I didn't use it, but I didn't pump often. I see it being most useful to pump on the go, in the car, or anywhere without easy access to a plug.
Ok...let it be known that DS slept from 9:30-4:30!! That is 7 HOURS!! I'm fearful he won't go back to bed, but still 7 HOURS!! I went to bed at 10:30 so that is 6 uninterrupted hours of sleep! I feel like a whole new woman! Please God let this be our new normal!
Had my postpartum appt yesterday and got cleared for sex. I have no intentions of having said sex. Was also advised to use lube when we do because breastfeeding apparently = dry vagina. Going to make DH buy the lube before letting him anywhere near me.

DH is now afraid to have sex with me postpartum. He thinks that I'm going to magically get pregnant again... I was like no worries. I feel the same about you haha

Good advice from the doctor!!! It made a big difference for us!

That is so true about breastfeeding. Although lube makes me super itchy/burny. Weve barely had PP sex becuase DH is terrified of getting me pregnant, and condoms do the same to me as lube.
