Last update before we finalize

I'm sure some of you are wondering about our ongoing saga trying to get B's adoption finalized.
BF's hearing for his bill of review was on Wednesday. We did not attend, because our attorney didn't think it was necessary, and technically this bill of review is between BF and the agency, not us, and our attorney is representing the agency in this case.
The BF had filed his bill of review pro se, although it was obvious his attorney from previous hearings had filled it out and given it to him to file. Apparently he re-retained his attorney at the last minute. His attorney asked the judge to reschedule the hearing, but she said no.
Our attorney shows up Wednesday. The case is called, and the opposing attorney's assistant comes forward and says that her boss had another trial to be at and has sent her to request a new date for the hearing. Birth father is not there. Judge says no, we're hearing it today. So our attorney says his piece, and the bill of review gets dismissed since there was no one there to argue BF's case.
This whole situation has been insane from the word go. Our attorney is requesting another finalization date for us, so hopefully this will be my last update until we are out of the courthouse with a signed adoption decree in our hands.
I'm not posting the date here or anywhere else. You'll have to wait for a picture announcing the finalization!
