Hey. Does anyone know if Target Canada is planning a liquidation sale. I went there last week and there seemed to be no special discounts. Google was no help. Anyone with inside info?

Do they sell the same products at the stores there as they do in the states? I don't know anything for sure, but if I had to speculate, my retail experience tells me that they would probably redistribute most of the product (stuff that is in higher demand) to the US stores where they can sell it full price vs. selling at a discount. They are already losing their shirts without discounting products.
In Canada, doesn't stuff have to be in French and English? So, they couldn't just redistribute because packaging would be different even if the product was the same.
In my experience, retail stores take forever to reduce prices when closing and in the end it's mostly junk that's drastically reduced.
Thanks ladies! I was hoping they would have some super deals on baby stuff. We need to buy 3 crib sheets, 2 waterproof sheets and 2 sleep sacks for LO at his daycare.... that stuff adds up!
I'll keep checking Target and will post if I see some good deals.
So for anyone in Canada interested in the Target deals...
I went this morning. The maximum discount is 30%. Diapers, food, electronics are all 10% off, toys are mostly 20% off, cosmetics 30%, bathroom products 10-20%. That being said they had some items were the ticket price was reduced already, so if you know your prices there were some good finds. I bought a couple B. Toys things, the keys and a magnadoodle-type thing. The regular price shown was about half of what other store sell it for and then with the extra 20% off it was a really good deal- the keys were $8 and the magnadoole thing was about$15. Luckily the store I went to wasn't busy. There was no line at all, the cashier I went to was just standing there. If it was super busy it wouldn't have been worth waiting for. The inventory was also really good, almost all the shelves were full. I am sure they will mark things down further as time goes on.

I'm going to guess that this is why they need to close in the first place

That's it! My dad joked that even in liquidation they stink and it's pretty true
