Title says it all. I used some sort of corset with DD 7 years ago.... However, I know things change... Bellefit looks good & they have bundles.... What are you ladies thinking, buying, using? Preach!

I've been using the belly bandit-- but like @angledcf said it's more so to give me abdominal and back support than to flatten my tummy. It definitely feels good!

I feel like I know nothing about this except that some women swear it helps post-partum. Are there different kinds recommended depending on if you do vaginal vs c-section birth?

According to the bellafit website, yes. However, I don't have any independent knowledge. I used one last time & think that it "worked."

I stole the really good one my mom has from her tummy tuck. My doctor said it's a nice one and to bring it to the hospital. She also said the ones that actually go between your crotch and come up higher are better than the belly bandit ones that just wrap around.
I feel like the skin on my stomach is SO sore from the c section and I cannot imagine having anything wrapped tightly around it! Wearing anything but yoga pants (even my maternity jeans) irritates the skin so much!!
I got a Belly Bandit, just based on my own research and the fact that I really don't want to have to bother with any crotch-hooks/ also the Velcro makes me think it will be more forgiving re: any sizing issues, but I really have no idea.

Why thank-you!! We had those pics taken in October, so they are a little dated. We had maternity pics taken the other day, at 36 weeks, so hopefully I get a gem or two out of there.....
Im a little worried regarding the hooks in the crotch area, especially if you have a vaginal birth. Equally worried about the hooks in the belly, if a c-section happens. I swear I think it helped with DD, but I could be wrong....

I am just using the binder they gave me at the hospital. Don't think it's any fancy or particular brand. I've had it on 24/7 (except for showers) since my c-section and I'm thinking about taking it off, but I'm afraid that will hurt worse. All the pressure from what belly and stuff I have in it is being kept off my incision.
I am thinking of trying the bellefit, since I've heard all good things about it. In regards to the crotch hooks, a girlfriend advised me to just leave the hooks unfastened for the first week or so after birth.
So glad this thread was started, as it's area I'd done some research in but hadn't pulled the trigger. I just bought the Bellefit corset style on Amazon and will try it out post partum.
