Not so far with this baby but with DD1 I consistently measured a week or two big. My doctor wasn't concerned and I had a very normal sized baby (7lb 11oz). I wouldn't sweat it.

Yep, I've been measuring about two weeks ahead the entire pregnancy. At my last visit I was 25 weeks and measuring 28 weeks. He wasn't super concerned since I've had a pattern of measuring ahead, but he did say there's a good chance they'll do another u/s closer to delivery to double check her growth.
ETA: I also had a decent amount of belly fat to begin with so that is contributing to my measurements as well
I'm so glad she didn't change my due date lol. I've never measured ahead usually I was under. But 2 weeks ahead... I was all geesh how big is he gonna be lol.

It could be a little extra amniotic fluid. I measured a little ahead with my last but when my water broke, we realized it was mostly fluid. She was only 8lb 2oz at birth.

At 25 weeks I was measuring 29 weeks. This is my second pregnancy in 11 months though, so it's to be expected. I've never been "ahead" either, I was like 4 weeks behind with my first for awhile.

I have another level 2 on the 11th. To check on his foot, bowels and new spot. I'll ask them to check the fluid. My babies have been average. 1st : 7lbs 4oz. 2nd: 8lbs 15oz. 3rd: 7lbs 8oz
I'm hoping to stay in those averages. But I'm sure he is just tall. His measurements for length was in the 90th when I had my last u/s in december.
I am only 23 weeks and measuring ok as far as I know. Doc never told me it was off. My last pregnancy though I measured 5 weeks ahead. I was induced at 38 weeks and she was 9 pounds even and there was a lot of amniotic fluid.
I think there are many reasons for measuring ahead but that was my experience.

At my last appointment I measured 4 weeks ahead, and my doctor had a cow! I think part of it was that I'd had some extra weight gain because of the holidays. We'll see how things go at my appointment next week!
Are you talking about fundal height (measuring tape) or ultrasounds here? I'm confused! I've only been told what I'm measuring at my AS and my early ultrasounds, so I have no idea what I'm "measuring at" right now. It seems the measuring tape method would be pretty inaccurate, depending on what you ate and if you pooped that day.
smile55k I'm talking Funda height. He is measuring in yhe 90th via ultrasound for hight. Or at least that's what they told me lol. But I measured 2 weeks ahead via Fundal height on Friday
Last pregnancy i measured large the whole time, and he ended up being a totally average size. This time I'm measuring large, but I don't trust it any more. I spent too much time last pregnancy freaking out about having a 10lb baby, this time I'm just not going to think it's anything but extra fluid until they weigh and measure LO on the outside.
With my first two (take homes) I measured about a week ahead from 24 weeks on. My second, I was dx with high fluid at 32 weeks, and was measuring 2 weeks ahead.
To put things in perspective - my ODS was albs, 12 ounces (born at 39w4d) and my second was 8lbs, 5 ounces (born at 39w).
With this one, I'm measuring right on target, however, I have a growth scan tomorrow and I'm certain, she will measure at 27 weeks (I'll be 26w3d tomorrow) just because I feel HUGE all of a sudden, OR my fluid is high again.
Either way - the crazy thing about all of this is, if your LO has a growth spurt, it'll make you measure bigger, but you could measure the 28 weeks for a full week and a half and essentially, growth catches up with weeks.
