It works really well for me. Like sasq09 said, there's a bit of trouble with consistancy, in terms of hot/cold. But I just adjust the oil to starch ratio slightly depending on the temperature (like, more oil in the winter and less in the summer).
I reapply before I do a yoga class at night, but otherwise it is great!
Edit: but obviously it isn't going to work for everyone the same way. Worth a shot though! It's a cheap experiment once you have the arrowroot.
Ok, it never occurred to me to have winter and summer recipes--that's brilliant! How do you apply it? I was planning to just make it in a jar.
I had mine in a wide, shallow jar. Then I got annoyed at getting my fingers messy to apply it, so I made it thicker (more arrowroot and baking soda) and put it in an old deodorant container. But a jar is good.
I haven't used arrowroot powder for deodorant but I have been using a deodorant stone for years. My dad had never been able to find a deodorant that worked that he didn't have a bad reaction to so he tried that when I was maybe 12 years old, once he started using that my whole family (mom & brothers) also switched and that's all I have every used. I can't imagine using regular deodorant.
I've never heard of deodorant stones! Off to google....
I just replaced mine for the first time in 10 years, I use the Thai brand. They are like $7-8 for a stone. I never have BO even after a really heavy workout!
I got some silicone baking cups. The next time I try to pre make breakfast, I'll use those and see if they're any easier to clean than the muffin tin. I may not get a chance though since just thinks they are a fantastic toy.
Also, I made one of these stacyvaughnblog.blogspot.com/2012/04/dvd-coloring-case.html I would attach a pic, but it says the file is too large. I thought it would be good way to keep V entertained and a bit quieter, like in restaurants or church. All DH could say was that V will start coloring on the pews.
